We've been to Mei leaf and we have enjoyed every moment! Lucy and Celine were absolutely amazing, from the warm welcome to the finest details in the gong fu world. Oasis of peace and relax in the messy Camden. Excellent selection of teas and teaware essentials. Not many frills, only pure taste and tea appreciation. Lovely and expert staff. Prices very ok. Only weak point the noise outside their door but not their fault at all.

A Very Happy Customer

Love the way you represent tea.

It's at the same time the European best supplier and the best Tea-school! Their work is so meticulous, unpretentious and respectful towards the origins of Tea that is highly appreciated even by Chinese Tea masters.

I've been a customer for quite some years now, by mail order. I'm always delighted with the service, and the quality is top-notch. I drink a lot of these teas to try and aid my liver function and boost my body a little due to its inability to produce or store B12, and if I'm ever doubtful about anything, Don or one of the team is always happy to advise.



I tried the ceremonial grade matcha that arrived this morning, as I'd heard so much about the health benefits for someone like me (a bit on the broken side!) and I finally got around to ordering some. It's absolutely delicious, has more kick than double espresso (perfect wake-up boost for someone who has CFS) and the instant hit of vitamins E and B is wonderfully restorative. An absolute essential in my diet from here on in!

I'm a US "Tea Head" so I haven't been to the store but I love the quality of the products that Don carefully sources for his clientele. It's always a pleasure to open up the box when it arrives and brew your first bit of a new tea from Don. Keep up the great work and WHEN (not if but when) I finally get to London someday I'll be in for some nice gong fu raw gushu (whatever is the new one you have on hand). Thanks for many brewings with my own gong fu guru set, keep up the great work and many blessings for your brothers' new business endeavor in Bangkok "Seven Suns" tea.

I used to drink tea bag tea, but since last year I became curious about loose whole leaf tea and I began to explore more and more. Whilst the loose leaf tea I was buying was much better quality than tea bags, I didn't know much about what to look for at the time and I felt quite uneducated about tea in general.



Earlier this year I was curious about Tie Guan Yin and came across Mei Leaf's youtube video about it. I was very glad that I did because I found it to be very informative and I began to look through the other videos. The videos are very educational and interesting for anyone that likes tea. My interest in tea has skyrocketed and I'm astonished at the variety of wonderful tastes, smells and effects that exist with tea.



Their website has plenty of information about each tea so you can make an informed choice, and the teas are all very unique and interesting. They make nice sample packs to try out different teas you may be interested in. The qualitea of the tea speaks for itself and is... tea-rific...



My only suggestion is for them to include VAT in the prices of their teaware, or to add "exc VAT" next to the prices, as including VAT in consumer prices is widely common.

Great tea shop! It smells divine in the store, and the employees are quite kind and very knowledgable. They have lovely sitting areas where you can enjoy a pot of one of a number of tea selections in a relaxing environment. A perfect place to get away for a bit from all of the goings-on in Camden Town in London. Look forward to my new venture into the city. This is now on my must-do list.

Don's YouTube channel is an invaluable tea education and reference resource. I learnt more about teas I already love and discovered many aspects of tea I didn't know about. It is also comforting to know that I am not alone in my obsession with tea.

The Tea House: Small, but by far the nices service we have experienced during our stay in London! Definitly worth a visit in order to try some amazing tea and tea cocktails. Greetings to the guy with the foreign accent who served us the tea, super nice guy!



The online store: Like I've said, the tea (and teaware) is amazing! But this is where you lose a star. Maybe it was just a problem when I ordered, but a lot of stuff is/was out of stock. Shipping was fast, but everything came in a huge envelope. A sturdier box would be a lot better, especially when shipping internationally. One of my items came broken, but it was replaced without annoying questions and without any problems, that was great! But a proper box, at least when shipping tea ware, would be appreciated and save the hassle of replacing the item. We all know how packages are being handled on planes and at the post office.



Youtube Channel: Amazing, keep doing what you're doing!



4 stars in total. If you guys can manage to keep things in stock (I can understand tea but tea ware shouldn't be too hard, right?) and get some cartboard boxes it would be an easy 5 star rating!

First ! AMAZING place, definitely recommend checking it out when you are in London! It will make you fall in love with tea!



But, Really I can not believe that I am giving Mei Leaf 4 starts, but was just that the experience was not 5. OK, wait, I will explain why. I discovered Mei Leaf through the YouTube channel The French Guy Cooking. After I felt in love with the Mei Leaf Youtube channel, so educational and entertaining. I knew I was coming to London with my family so I binge-watch a lot of videos just to get my tea education on a basic level.



The tea itself was fantastic! My family loved it. They saw the difference between high quality tea and the tea bags. Which I am very happy they did! <3



But why I give 4 starts is for the two girls staff that were working there on 11th of November. Maybe I got my expectations too high thinking that the staff will be teaheads as well. Shortly, they weren't. The general vibe I and my family got from them was "here is the tea, here are the instructions, you need to wash the tea, deal with it, bye". I was expecting more enthusiasm, more knowledge sharing, more questions.
