Today we met our lucky couple who won their wedding here at the Great Danes! It was lovely to meet Coral & James and start planning their special day! 💞👩‍❤️‍👨

We stayed here as a family 4 times last year :) We love the place so much. We even spent our last Christmas (2017) here for 3 nights and had such an amazing time. It was our best Christmas yet. We plan on coming again for our Christmas stay. I see some bad reviews and can honestly say we have never had any problems at all. The food is always good, the hotel is always clean and we plan on staying again sometime this year including Christmas. We have stayed in a few hotels as a family over the years but we always return to the Mecure knowing it will be a special family time together. Keep up the great work!

Stayed for one night as it was local for where I needed it, we didn't eat at the hotel as we had a meal booked elsewhere, the facilities were great and we made use of the steam room, jacuzzi and pool before we checked out, the late checkout was great as this meant we didn't need to rush around. Staff were friendly and I would definately use this hotel again to stay or even just for a day using the facilities.

I treated my boyfriend to the only fools & 3 courses comedy meal. We had a lovely meal & we enjoyed the comedy too. Thank you Suzanne for making sure I had a photo to look back on. Would defently go again. X

I stay regularly here and find this a very good hotel with very large and well appointed rooms, excellent dining discount packages and a very good Leisure club. Certain areas are due for refurbishment shortly but still excellent facilities. A gymn, weights room, steam room, sauna, spa and large pool is a real bonus. Very friendly and efficient staff with Lynette the Sales Manager being very welcoming and very committed to the guests and clients. Great plans ahead too!! Thank you.

I find the hotel to be very clean the room was a good size.

The food at dinner was good the staff was very helpful out waiter was a lovely young man that couldnt do enought for us.

Breakfast was a buffet so could eat as much as we wanted and it was good.

The pool was a good size

The gym was good and the staff there was great .

Over all had a lovely time and we will be returning.

Can’t get over these moaners writing such petty reviews about this hotel.

I found the temperature of the swimming fantastic, I haven’t had nipples at 45 degrees for a long time. For the price of a room, I can’t see how anyone can complain. Why don’t these people get a life or dig a bit deeper in their pockets. 45 degree nipples, Anne Summers in Maidstone... I will definitely come again. Why don’t people just STOP MOANING....5 stars �� my end !!!

We were part of a family party of6 we booked the Fawlty Towers themed dinner which was really good however we didn't et the menu emailed to us until 3 days before we were due and this was following me emailing 2 twice with no response and 2 tel calls

I replayed immediately with our choice, but the main meal was nothing like the menu and was Luke warm very disappointing.

The disco music after the show was ok luckily we had another table of guests who like to enjoy the,mselfs so we had fun with them

Our rooms at the hotel were very nice although very hot the radiator was easy to turn down (certainly wouldn't. complain) it was fully equipped the bed was extremely comfortable and I slept really well which is very unusual for me. We decided to have breakfast in our room for a change and was really nice and arrived right on time.

This is our 2nd time at this hotel unfortunately neither time did we use the a so we will be back

Lovely stay here for one night, very clean, cozy double room with very clean bathroom and brilliant shower/bath. Bed was comfy. TV sound in room did not work, had someone look at it but could not help. Staff very friendly. Confusing to find room, was like a maze. Room was also quiet even when there was a wedding or party downstairs! Pool was lovely, jacuzzi was not working, steam room was good and all is free if you are staying in hotel 👍🏼 Changing rooms also clean. Breakfast was amazing, lot of options 😊 hotel has lovely grounds and interior, was very beautiful. Meal in hotel was nice, pizza is good, cocktails a little pricey. Overall a wonderful relaxing stay and would definitely recommend to anyone!

Spent one night here after the Great Gatsby Christmas event we attended.

Although this was a themed night there was no 20's music it was all Christmas cheese. Also there were meant to be themed cocktails but there were not.

Great pool area but the spa is only 3 treatment rooms off the swimming pool so you can hear everything. The therapists were actually very good however.

Its ok for one night. But the standard room needed freshening up. The bathroom was grubby and tired and no hot water or even warm in the morning. Breakfast was very average and too cold and greasy for me. Liked seeing the Dualers there but wouldnt book the room for £100 plus breakfast for what we got.

Booked for Christmas gatsby party night. Hotel lost receipt of my booking and called 3 times asking if I still wanted to book!? They had a different date down so was bit worrying as booked and paid for on behalf of others and wasn't sure if we had a booking or not. Found my payment in the end but seemed very unprofessional. Thought by way of apology may be offered complementary bottle of wine or something but got nothing. Disappointing

So disappointed with this hotel, checked in at 2pm, enjoyed using the swimming pool and had a nice meal in the restaurant. Upon returning to our room at 8pm, we were surprised at the level of noise coming from a party downstairs (directly below our room). We were not warned on check in that this event was going on. Ruined our evening. Music still blaring at 11:30pm so asked reception what time it was going off, another half hour they said. Absolutely outrageous we put up with this all evening and when we wanted to sleep it wasn't possible. The guy on reception even admitted 6 other people had also complained. They did offer to change us rooms, but at 11:30pm when you've settled in, it's just a bit too late. Infact, why put people in those direct rooms if you have others to offer and know full well the music will upset people! Save yourselves from the complaints!!!! We left the hotel and returned home and fortunately we did get a refund. Based on this experience I would not return to this hotel.

Went to see Dualers who were excellent but the price of the drinks at Great Danes were extortion 1 white wine spritzer and a coke over £12 that’s just so expensive. Won’t be going back there very disappointed that’s just greedy and so overpriced.

Went for a coffee with a friend this morning at the mercure in Maidstone. Asked if I could buy some toast and pastries.. yet I was not trusted to go up and get this myself, I had to wait 15 mins for a slow member of staff to get it for me. After 15 mins the coffees were made. I found the staff slow and not polite. Won't be going back.

Just left from Only Fools and Horses Comedy Dinner. 3 course meal was awful. I told them I ordered a vegetarian meal and they gave me a dry filo pastry cracker thing filled with veg the wide dishes were the Same veg as everyone else there was still bits of bacon in the cabbage. Other people said it was dry and they couldn’t eat it. I would think this hotel were use to putting on functions but clearly not. Also the bar staff were so vacant!

I can only review the dining experience as I did not stay at the hotel, only spent an evening here to celebrate a friends birthday.

The food was dire. A set menu and entertaiment at £35 plus a £3.50 booking fee warrants more than a bland tomato soup, a chicken breast as tuff as an old boot served with 2 roasted new potatoes, and a measly few vegetables (all Luke warm) and all tasteless. Desert was edible but on the tiny portion size. The food really was disappointing. We did complain and was offered a free drink each but really a full refund should have been given. Our whole party left hungry and a stop at Mc Donald’s was required on the journey home!!
