Mile End Park

About Mile End Park

Mile End Park was built as the park for the 21st century. It was constructed from parcels of land and even today is bisected by roads and railway lines. The park is segmented by activity and provides something for everyone in a park setting.

Mile End Park Litter Pick tomorrow 10-12
Just a quick reminder that tomorrow is the Friends of Mile End Park monthly litter pick in the park. They meet at 10 am by the Art Pavilion (behind the Grove Road Texaco Garage) and litter pick for a couple of hours. They aim to do the area around the Art Pavilion, Chris' Wood, and then work their way up to Roman Road and then back again.
All equipment is provided and there is no need to register, just turn up around 10. If two hours is too long then just pop along for a bit. Afterwards they head to the Coffee Room for complimentary refreshments.

This Wednesday is the Friends of Mile End Park Annual General Meeting at 7.15PM in the Ecology Pavilion, Grove Road. The agenda is attached.
The Friends' committee is keen to get more people involved in running the Friends. Nothing too onerous - the committee usually meet for an hour or so about 4 times a year in one of their houses. If you are interested and want to find out more, then please just pop along on Wednesday. They don't bite!
The Mile End Park Management Team wil...l be providing an update on the Park, and there will be a chance to ask them any questions you might have, or perhaps you might have some ideas you'd like to put forward?
At the AGM there will have a selection of free refreshments such as nibbles, wine and soft drinks to help the evening go along.
Also, free copies of the recently published 80-page booklet Beer Barrels and Brewhouses (which explores the brewing heritage of the East End) will be available to the first 25 attendees. It is full of local history and an excellent read.
Attendees will also be entered into a free prize draw to win a £30 voucher valid at The Greedy Cow in Grove Road. Thanks Reg for donating the voucher.

A nice Park. Kept well clean, when I was there, the German Lookalikes were looking after the place, very well. It was maintained, nicely. The beer was great, great choice of Beer, all round. More than enough seats, available. Reasonable prices on the drinks, high prices on the food..

Kind Regards, Anil Patel.
