What I love about the Miller & Carter Chelmsford is the consistency. A crisp, fresh salad followed by a ‘50 day’ aged streak cooked to perfection and all topped off with a superb choice of wine. Why have I left it so long between visits?

Went yesterday evening for my birthday dinner the waiter we had was amazing such a nice guy I didn’t get his name, nothing was to much and made time to chat, the food was amazing as always

Visited yesterday with my wife and father in law for a birthday meal, Could not fault the service, food or price, we have eaten here several times not and never a bad comment to make.

Took my husband out for his birthday Friday 13th had a lovely meal ! And the waiter was very attentive and joking with us ! Have to say this is twice now we have had a nice time think we have found our steak house thank you to all the staff

My wife and I dined on sunday night, we both thoroughly enjoyed our steaks, mine, the 12oz ribeye, the wife chose the sirloin, both delicious flavour and soooo juicy, both medium rare, cooked to perfection, great job chefs. Our waitress was really friendly. We were both really full but managed to squeeze in the mini dessert and coffee. Will definitely be coming again. Thanks guys

My favourite place to eat in Chelmsford, great atmosphere, lovely food, grain fed ribye to die for, always have a great experience. Big shout out to Jonny and Lauryn,made us feel special. Would recommend for birthdays celebrations, anniversaries or just a nice lunch catch up.

Me & my husband went last night for Valentine’s lovely service and food was very scrummy the only thing that I was a bit annoyed about is that we didn’t get given a valentines menu when we was at the front desk it was only due to a member of staff who we know told us otherwise we wouldn’t of known about it

First visit to Miller and Carter Chelmsford yesterday with my hubby and son. Have to say we eat out a lot but this is one of the most enjoyable meals we’ve had out in a long time. 3 courses selected from their menu for 2 adults and 1 child. Hubby had 3 beers just shy of £80. Service was brilliant, attentive and polite.

Starters, garlic prawns, sticky chipotle ckn and bbq wings

Mains , Buttermilk roasted chicken, bbq glazed chicken and kids bbq chicken.

Dessert, crepe brûlée, banoffee pie and cookies and ice cream.

Will most definitely be going back again soon

Best Meal at M&C ever. 7 of us had the 3 course Christmas Menu. All 3 courses were delicious. I had the Lobster and mascarpone starter, the turkey main and cheesecake dessert. We each had a few alcoholic drinks and coffee's. all for about £50 each. Very reasonable for a great evening with lovely food and drink. Could eat it all again tonight �

Always have a fantastic meal and no different this time. Service excellent food excellent. we like to try something different and this time we had marrow bone filled with brisket sooo good. I would definitely recommend.

A bit of a wait for a table, but worth it. The Waiter was excellent, the steak was cooked to perfection, the sauce was scrummy and a decent selection of wine too. The price was a little high, compared to the average steak meal, but value for money because it was way above average. I loved it.

A 5star review from two of the hardest people to please. We don't do chain restaurants so didn't have very high expectations but service was excellent and the food was fantastic, will definitely return.

Have been twice recently to Miller and Carter Chelmsford. The first time had the bacon and cheese steak burger which was absolutely fantastic! And the second had a steak, which was my first time having steak. The desserts are heavenly. The only criticism is that it takes a very long time inbetween courses (possibly due to how full the restaurant is) so expect to be there 2 hours for your meal.

For the price I'd expect so much more. Went for the Bacon and Cheese prime steak burger. Flavour very good, handful of chips in a bucket and warm coleslaw(left under heat lamps and on heated stone placemats). Wife, being vegetarian, went for the vegetarian burger. Same as above really. Could do with it being served on a plate rather than in a bun as is very soft and squidgy and too big to fit in mouth! Basics like condiments and colwslaw served in ramakins that are chipped round the lip needs improvement. All staff trained to level 2 food and hygiene should know this is a breading ground for bacteria!

Went to Chelmsford Miller and Carter tonight as an early birthday treat. This is usually our favourite place.... not anymore!!! Over an hour wait between starter and main, Stone cold lobster side dish (sent back) had to chase the rest of the food, the chips and the lettuce wedge, sirloin steak was luke warm and full of fat! Complained and was told they wouldn’t take anything off bill and was promptly presented with our hefty bill! I should have created and asked to speak to the manager but after being there over 2 hours we wanted to just get home. Won’t be back. Gone so downhill now living off the brand and not quality or service I’m afraid �

Waited 15minutes for the bill in the end gave up and went to the till and paid. Will try Colchester next time been told that is better. I hope so.
