My absolute favourite restaurant in Colchester ! Every time we go we have an amazing time. Food is great, staff are very attentive and informative. Looking forward to sampling The Pavillion when it opens !!.... see you tonight for my birthday meal....can’t wait !!! ���

Been living in Colchester for over a year and didn't even know this place existed, but now i know its there I'm going to use it like an extension to my house. The food especially the steaks the service and drinks were all on point. What a brilliant night.

A massive thank you to the brilliant waitress that had to deal with our rowdy hen party last night....we had a fantastic time....thank you xx

5***** service. Helpful tentative team that are always there when you need. The rapport built from all the staff was professional yet personable. The food was outstanding.... and more importantly the steak was cooked to absolute perfection. I would absolutely recommend 100%.

4 of us all had a lovely meal and really nice night and really good singer on too!! Believe it was Tom who served us most the night and he was very nice and we all impressed with his memory, doesn’t write anything down 👌 great night

3 of us had the Sea Bass the special of the day it was excellent. Service was good the Waiter very obliging and I enjoyed the whole experience but it wasn’t a cheap evening but would do it again x

Went there Saturday lunch time for friends hen meal lovely place food very nice but pricey most places when getting steak the mushrooms tomatoes onion ring are included not here you only get steak and chips staff very nice out door area nice will go again for special treat but too much just for a meal for no reason

Nice atmosphere, lovely waitress, good food. Would certainly recommend it to friends for a reasonably priced night out - 3 courses & 3 drinks at less than £50 a head (inc a decent tip).

14 of us celebrated my birthday here on 13th of may. The food especially the steaks are amazing. A little pricey but well worth it. Presentation on point and getting food to us at the same time was achieved. The staff were helpful and friendly, especially Khalid.

Will definitely recommend and be back again soon. ���

The meal was tasty once it arrived , unfortunately the staff were very slow and unattentive,my husband went up and paid and upon looking at our bill ( thought it'd be nice to keep as it was my daughters 21st birthday meal) I just noticed we have been way over charged , we paid £25 more than we should have they charged us for brownies to the tune of £20 that we didn't have , my mum had upgraded to sweet potato fries which she didn't receive so upon asking for them they arrived quite later after we had almost finished eating ( we paid £1to upgrade from regular fries ) however they've charged us again on the bill £3.95 ??? Why? Really annoyed and will not be going there again , paying £25 almost for food we didn't eat !� our overall bill was £150 btw

This place is only popular because there is nowhere else to go on the business park. It's over priced, the food is nothing special and the waitresses during the day never smile. I was really shocked by the lack of care when I disputed my recent food bill as I felt completely ripped off but the response was "what do you want me to do about it"?! How about take it off the bill! It's called a goodwill gesture towards what have been your repeat customers. I expected better and am therefore disappointed with a poorly handled situation.

I found the tables to squashed together and had to ask people to move to even get to the loo. It’s a like eating in hollister, far to dark and the music was so loud we couldn’t hear the waiting staff and the food is overpriced.

Prebooked and preordered food for my friends hen party of 12 people. We have all travelled several hours to all be together and were excited for a great night. Our table was booked for 7 pm and was not ready when we arrived. It took a further half an hour for the table to be cleaned and ready for us even though the restaurant was fairly quiet. We then waited for our starters for an hour and there were further hour waits between courses- for a prebooked meal i think t was terrible. We had a few several wrong dishes even though we had the email confirmation with what we had ordered and rather than rectifying it we were simply told we were wrong and was spoken to in a rude manner.

Food was either undercooked or hard, my chocolate brownie was not fit for consumption, hard as a rock!

Due to the waiting we all brought the stupidly over priced drinks to pass the time. Myself and a few others paid for these on card as we were on a budget and other put in the table. As a 'peace offering' were were offered a few drinks off the bill- fat help to those of us who paid up to avoid a huge bill. We then left straight after pudding around 11 pm meaning we were then late to our next part and had only an hour and a half left to enjoy Helens hen night.



I'm not one to complain but I feel the whole experience spoilt a well organised evening on our part. Luckily I do not live in the area so will not be returning. The only thing that made up for your poor service was the company I had.

I suggest others to avoid.

Last night, 17 Nov, myself, my partner and our friends visited your restaurant to enjoy a good dinner.



The menu had minimal choice and the added ‘steak’ menu is seriously over priced.



The dinner started of in a very disappointing way when we were served some tasteless lukewarm fluid which was passed as vegetable soup. The main course was nothing special, the sub-standard food quality really dampened our spirits.



The table was in the middle of the dining area, staff had to squeeze trough to serve other tables next to us.



Then we were ‘treated’ to a young man on the stage singing and playing the guitar, the music was so loud we were unable to have a normal conversation and had to raise our voices for the duration of the meal. Staff had to repeat themselves to be able to get our order.



I would expect this in my local pub but not in a commendable restaurant, normally you have nice background music which enables us to have a conversation.



Food was spilled on the floor by the waiters, soiling another gentleman’s jacket hanging over his chair. Staff did not point this out to him and choose to ignore this!



Overall it was a very disappointing experience, needless to say we did not have a nice evening!

My wife took me last night 4th May as a Birthday treat. After our main meal we went in the garden to have a smoke and when we came back in they had given our table to someone else. When we complained we were offered a free dessert but refused as we felt the night had been ruined.

Awful experience. Can honestly say we will never go back. Food was below average. Waited 40 + mins for food which was warm. The noise was deafening. We had to shout over each other to try to have a conversation. The singer mudered every song she sang. Total nightmare friday night out!

Really lovely meal. Great service, fab singer and delicious food. One happy lady :)
