Lovely bit of fish and chips , will definitely be going there again

Just been to Minnie Bertha'S for the first time. Brilliant service. Yes you have to wait a while at peak times but they have a great arrangement with Kerry's Bar on the corner. You go and sit down & buy a drink. Your fish and chips will be brought to you AND you can eat them in Kerry's. Not only that but Kerry's has a menu for dogs and well-behaved dogs are allowed in! The long queues at the chip shop show how well rated locals think it is.

Great food. Always freshly cooked so prepare for a bit of a wait as always busy.

If you are traveling down a fair distance best to call and check that they will be open. Found out today (5/11/16) they will be closed on Wednesdays until further notice due to staff issues.

Excellent freshly cooked fish and chips. Brilliant idea that you can order in the shop and they will bring your order along to Kerry’s cafe a couple of shops away where they are happy to supply the cutlery and condiments for you to eat there as long as you purchase something to drink from them. Very friendly and pleasant staff.

Busy queue on Saturday evening, but order taken and time given to collect. Fresh, delicious and just what we wanted!! Yummy!!!

Best fish and chips I've eaten. Didn't know about eating it at Kerry’s but tasted better for sitting opposite the sea!

This has always been the best chip dhop around unfortunately last night were not good chips hard and unfortunately the fish was not good my wife was sick and bad shortly after eating feel this needs checking bad reviews always travel quicker

The cod was very greasy when we visited. Good tasty chips though.

Fish and chips were lovely, back on form after a long time. It is a oddly long wait maybe they were dealing with telephone orders. But should be said it was worth the wait, my companion said she couldn't remember the last time she had fish and chips that good and it's the first time in years that I have eaten all the fish batter. Delicious.

Always busy when we pop in and very nice food.

Would be great if they actually told the truth about the wait time for food. Idiots say fifteen minutes when it's really half an hour !!!!!!! Wtf

What's happened to this place? The followed the original owner from London Road to this new chip shop, and we have loved their food for years. But now I'm sorry to say it's gone do down hill. The food is so greasy I have to dry my food off with kitchen towels when I get it home.

It's time to find another favourite �

I ordered 2 small battered sausages and a large portion of chips. 20 mins later I questioned about it and apparently I didn’t order anything when I did and paid for it. The cook was rude to another customer and we never got an apology

Food was ok, shame we had to wait over 45 minutes for it today! What's more annoying when you're originally told it would be 15 minutes.

Don't bother owner rude chips greasy. Refused my coca coca cola voucher which they took last time. Male Said he's 'not In to giving away bottles of cola'. I said voucher is valid !!! He was just rude!!! Would not even look at the voucher! Plenty more chip shops. You said you had been there 10 years and not seen a coca cola voucher, maybe that is because you refused to look at it. You just lost regular customers, not holidaymakers.! The last piece of fish we had was greasy too.

Bought a meal for the family this evening, I can honestly say it was the worst fish and chips I’ve had for a long time.

To top it off I was served by a teenager with piercings in her face, ( unconcerned ) thought they had to be removed or covered in a catering establishment. It took three kids to serve me, very poor, frying fast was dripping out of packaging by the time I git home.



Save your money and go elsewhere

Arranged a delivery tonight at 5.38. Plates in oven, veggy sausages cooked for grandma. Then they phone at 6.58 to say they cant deliver to our area (TN38). Asked them to put it in a taxi and we would pay the difference but they refused on the grounds that it would be soggy. Not impressed. Their excuse was that a trainee had taken the call !!!! then train them before they answer the phone !!!! And anyway to tell us an HOUR after we ordered is unforgivable.
