A pony and 'chariot' give wheelchair users chance to explore new places.
"This has been better than I could ever have dreamt of. It'll keep me going for a long, long time."
Kathleen Robertson, who is paralysed from the neck down, cannot remember the last time she was at the beach.
... However, thanks to Obama the pony and Simon Mulholland from Pony AxeS in Scotland, she and others can now do exactly that and more.
The pony and chariot allow people using wheelchairs to access many places they might otherwise never experience.
Simon and Obama travel from Paisley, taking their all-terrain vehicle right across Scotland.
Kathleen - who was paralysed as a result of multiple sclerosis (MS) and has been in a wheelchair for more than 10 years - has been able to enjoy the beach at St Cyrus National Nature Reserve in Aberdeenshire as a result.
Kathleen Robertson said she loved her experience She told BBC Scotland's Landward: "I really can't remember the last time I went to the beach. I'm very excited.
"I was diagnosed in '07. And within nine months of being diagnosed I was wiped off my feet."
She said the outing with Obama gave her something to look forward to.
"I never thought that I would go to a beach again, but it just shows you that life in a wheelchair doesn't have to be miserable," she said.
"And I wouldn't be able to do this if I could walk, so maybe there's an advantage there."
She described it as a "wonderful experience"

East Kilbride boy is the face of new Red Cross wheelchair campaign.
Good luck Cole Thompson👍.
As we shared last week, Jackie Baillie MSP has launched a public consultation on proposed legislation which would see wheelchairs supplied to people who have a temporary need for a wheelchair is building momentum.
... Cole Thomson from Newlandsmuir, who suffers from severe epilepsy, will appear in a film to highlight the importance of families being given access to short-term wheelchair use.
Cole is the new poster boy for the British Red Cross as the youngster joins the campaign for short-term wheelchairs to be made mandatory.
After being confined to a wheelchair and admitted to hospital indefinitely as his family continue their hard-fought battle to access whole plant medical cannabis, Cole’s mum Lisa Quarrell was shocked to discover there is no duty on the NHS, or any other public body, to provide short-term wheelchairs to anyone with a mobility problem.
The current criteria to access NHS wheelchair services states that the mobility need must be permanent.
Lisa, 37, said: “If anyone needed a wheelchair all of a sudden, like we did, there are no services in place.
“Our occupational therapist told me about the Red Cross, but it’s not a well-known service – the hospital didn’t even tell me about them.
“The charity were great and asked if they could use Cole’s story as part of their campaign to show a real-life situation.
“I think it’s a great project, I’m still in shock that there is no supply for people who need them.”
Up until five weeks ago, Cole was an active six-year-old, able to ride his bike and play with his toys.
As reported in the News, his mobility quickly deteriorated and suddenly Cole was unable to walk, talk, or stand independently and was reliant on his parents to carry him.
Cole has missed weeks of school and during a home visit, an occupational therapist suggested a wheelchair might be useful.
A referral was made with WestMArc, but that assessment could take up to six weeks to happen. Lisa was advised to contact the Red Cross and was told she could pick one up that very same day.
With a wheelchair Cole could regain his independence, which was a great relief to both mother and son.

Alexa App: Virgin Trains leading the way again.
Virgin launch a new Alexa feature for disabled passengers to book travel / portering assistance using voice commands.
Virgin Trains customers can request help getting on and off trains and reserve wheelchair spaces with Alexa-enabled devices.
... The JourneyCare service for people with special requirements could previously only be booked by completing an online form or calling a helpline after train tickets were bought.
Alexa – a virtual assistant developed by Amazon – will speed up the process by allowing passengers to request assistance using voice commands immediately after purchasing tickets.
We want to ensure train travel is accessible to as many people as possible
Chris Tomson, who has brittle bone disease and uses a wheelchair, took part in a trial of the process.
The 28-year-old said it does a “great job” of combining booking tickets with requesting assistance.
He went on: “It also comes in handy if I have any pain in my arms and I am unable to use a computer, phone or tablet to book my journey.”
Virgin Trains claims using its Alexa app – also known as a skill – halves the time it takes to request assistance.
Stephen Brookes, a campaigner for disabled passengers, said: “Those who are comfortable with and can access technology will find the system quick and efficient.
“But it doesn’t mean that those who cannot access or use new technology will miss out, as the staff involved in phone bookings will be more than willing to help book assistance.

We love this, a social experiment in Portugal were wheelchairs were placed in Car parking bays with a wee note on them saying ‘’ be right back’’ ‘’just picking something up’’ wow! A real lesson for inconsiderate car drivers.

FREE access to wheelchairs.
MS Society Scotland has backed the move to try and secure temporary equipment for those with mobility issues.
Jackie Baillie;
... People who need temporary access to a wheelchair could soon have their request granted, if Dumbarton MSP Jackie Baillie gets her way.
The Labour member launched a public consultation on proposed legislation to have the equipment made available to those who need it.
Currently there is no obligation on the NHS or any other public body to provide short-term wheelchairs to anyone with a mobility problem that is expected to last for less than six months.

Making beauty more accessible! Because..., it’s not just about how you look, it’s about how you FEEL.
A pioneering new makeup brand for disabled people or anyone with dexterity issues is looking to shake up the beauty industry with its focus on inclusivity and accessibility.
Grace Beauty has created three mascara add-ons that can be attached to any mainstream mascara tubes (as long as they aren’t wider than 25mm), that provide alternate ways to hold your mascara wand and ena...ble precise application.
Launching on the 3 June, they cost £8 each: one has a rubber ball attached for a wide-angled grip, the second is a ring holder you can hook your fingers through without holding too tightly and the third is a chunky square grip that attaches to both sides of your mascara, to not only make it easier to open but to control when using it on your lashes too.
