This is an introduction to a class of locomotive that could at one time be found just about anywhere on the British Railways network, handling both freight and passenger traffic - hence their sobriquet 'Rats'. They were on the drawing board way back in 1955 and were among the first generation of reliable diesel locomotives that paved the way for wholesale modernisation of the Britain's rail transport system. The Type 2's were later classified as Class 24 and Class 25 and members of both classes lasted until the 1980s A few made their way into preservation and during 2010 both classes could be seen on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway: resident class 24 no. 24081 and visiting class 25 no. D7612 (25262).

GRAFTON and COMPANY, Vulcan Works, Elstow Road, Bedford (Later renamed Grafton Cranes Limited) and Bedford Engineering Company.
Don't know why this got abandoned, it's a beautiful piece of machinery, gently rusting away at the end of a siding and being reclaimed by nature
Included and early advert for these cranes

The former ADAS site (Agricultural Development and Advisory Service) is located to the north of the village and contains a group of laboratory buildings that are currently in disrepair. This overgrown site also contains woodlands containing memorial trees, an Arboretum and agricultural land. There were dedicated laboratories for plant molecular biology, genomics and gene sequencing, electron microscopy, use of radiochemicals, microbiology, soil analysis, and plant/animal cel...l culture. Resources were augmented by glasshouses, climate-controlled growth rooms for plants and insects, and a containment facility for transgenic plants that supported laboratory-based research. Usage of this complex declined rapidly from the mid-1990s when ADAS activities were relocated to Cambridge. The Government has recently confirmed that Permitted Development Rights for Change of Use from offices to residential are to be made permanent (as of 2015) This former ADAS site, which includes ancillary outbuildings and glasshouses, continues to be the subject of repeated trespassing and vandalism despite increased security measures put in place by Telereal Trillium since buying the site in October 2015. Whilst the site originally had planning approval for conversion of the existing buildings to 52 flats, the developers envisage that there are alternative options that may provide a redevelopment of the site more in keeping with the location and the village. As part of the developers alleged responsible approach to managing the land they own, initial works will remove potential hazards including asbestos, glass and redundant oil tanks and will last for approximately 8 weeks. (from 2016)

Very Odd, Can imaging the sound of happy and buy students working and crating life, doesn’t feel right it being so quiet, deserted and dilapidated

Visit to Warner Brothers Studio tour of harry Potter and the creation and making of the movies, what was interesting to discover is that the items in cabinets and shelves was mostly junk and ornaments collected by the crew from Auctions, Charity Shops and the Like to furnish the set, making it look used, old and comfortable, (Especially the tread worn furniture) Put all of the pictures up, because Jordan will enjoy them, Feel free to tag or locate where and what the images wrre used for in relevant films of settings

Care home in Eastbourne, according to council records this is still functional and operational, ? (although it has a terrible smell and is full of junk) but appears to have closed about 5-8 years ago,. Strangely enough the electric is on and working, though from the state of the components it is in a very dangerous state. There is also an impressive selection of both cobwebs and Dactylium Mildew or 'Mucor' mound on the upper floors which belongs to the Penicillium genus and... can cause allergic reaction. Was an interesting explore though may not decide to make a return visit to this place; The road in Question is mostly devoted to formerly grand Victorian properties on the edge of a conservation heritage area, now divided into flats with most being in a state of neglect, and the odd more modern building probably caused by bomb damage during the war, there’s some interesting and notable architecture to the house.

Old war time shelter, showing a wide and differing range of architectural building and construction styles, mostly seems to be carved in chalk, so some are barrel vaulted brickwork, some are pre construct frame with corrugated iron sheeting, or steel catch netting, curiously some has concrete plank roofing, which would indicate construction from above or the possibility of more yet to be seen, above ground there is no evidence of recent groundworks,
