Young male customer assistant stood behind the counter playing with his facial piercings and stating how attractive they were........yuck, revolting

Wouldn't bother. Quick to sell but don't want to know when products are faulty. Then accuse you of breaking it in front of other customers. Also the after care team are shocking. Don't listen to the customer at all.

Unless you want to come out of a shop with a thumping headache from stress, don't bother coming to this store!

Today I went to pick up a pushchair I had ordered online, after having it confirmed FOUR TIMES that my pushchair was ready for collection. However, it wasn't ready so was a complete and utter waste of my time, but it's the service I received that has really got my back up. The way I was treated was absolutely disgusting! I had a half hearted sorry from a member of staff who seem to have no ability to move a single muscle in her face. The manager then got involved and it was clear from the get go that she really didn't want to deal with this. I actually felt like a nuisance asking for a refund. She then used what I felt was aggressive behaviour towards me when I was quite calm, waiting for her to find head offices number on her iPad so I could attempt to get my money back. She obviously couldn't find the number as she suddenly closed the iPad, crossed her arms and walked straight in to my space and said, "I think we are done here, there is nothing I can do for you". She obviously couldn't be bothered to help me anymore and felt it was acceptable to let a customer walk out of the shop with no pushchair or £250 refund! She eventually realised she should give me the number she originally promised and went off to find the number, as she couldn't find it on her iPad. She then advised me I was wasting my time calling head office as I would (I quote from Debbie the Manager) "just be speaking to a customer Service Assistant." And I said well it's head office and she repeated "it's still just a customer service assistant!". I called head office and spoke to "just a customer service assistant" and it was resolved in less than 5 minutes. Clearly Debbie couldn't be bother to help me! She did offer me a refund in Mothercare vouchers though

They had also previously ordered in the wrong car seat for me but the service I received that time was above and beyond, so thought I would give the Orpington branch another go as service goes a long way in my books. They must have a new Manager now that obviously needs to go on a people skills course!

Sunday 3rd Jan, I went to Mothercare in Orpington, Nugent retail park, to look at and buy a 'Baby style' double pram, I am 4 months pregnant and we had our 2 yr old son with us. It was fairly busy, but have seen it busier on a Sunday, and there was plenty of staff on the floor. So you could imagine my shock when I was there for over 45 mins, actually setting the pram up, that was on show, myself with my husband trying to work out how it works, adding the car seat and carrycot, with no help or offer of help, whilst watching staff talking to each other, playing on their phones etc, even had a Mothercare employee watching me set up the pram. We had some questions regarding the product, but as no one was around nor willing to help, and at this stage I wasn't in the mood to ask, we didn't buy the product, which with all the options we wanted, was retailing at £650plus. The other point of this, is that a pregnant women, shopping for her new baby, really shouldn't have to be doing this in a store that caters for babies and children! We went to the till to pay for a changing mat, and found ourselves waiting a further 20 mins, even though their was 6 people serving at the tills and as I said, it wasn't busy, a queue of no more than 5 people at a time. I have to say, it was the worse I've seen it, and yes I understand in busy times, but there was no excuse, like myself, I work in Service, and completely understand there are times for lack of service, but also it comes with motivating staff and showing them the importance of good service, which in turn will ensure customers come back, instead of going to the competition.
