Well absolute amazing customer service from Bev. We brought a new car seat today for our grandson. There was no rushing, spent time going though the different ones and then once we chose Bev fitted it in our car for us. Top service! this lady should be praised for her customer service, thank you.

We popped in to get a rough idea on car seats for twins we are expecting. We had a lovely lady called Bev come and help us she was such an amazing help she checked to see if they would fit in the car we will be getting and talked us through the new laws and what would be best car seats for us. Honestly never met such a lovely helpful shop assistant she went above and beyond to help us. Thank you bev x

Your customer service is appalling. I will not be shopping there again.

Was very excited about buying a pram and got the Silver Cross Wayferer as was completely sold on the soft pram inner liner (which was purple in our case). Specifically asked what was included in the overall price (which was not cheap by any means) as was debating between a mamas and papas pram. Was told the inner liner would be part of the colour pack.

Once the colour pack arrived there was no pram liner included. When discussed back at the store terrible customer service, they didn't care that they over sold and under delivered and that they were duping unsuspecting customers.

With being a couple of weeks away from baby arriving we either go through the hassle of shipping the pram back or pay the additional amount to buy the pram lining separately.

Not even a discount offered!!! They just didn't care once the sale was made.

At least mamas and papas had no pretense

Will never return to mothercare Thurrock. Such a shame as a brand is only as strong as the customers last perception

Really angry and upset with @mothercare lakeside

Please take your time to read and share this post!!!

So I brought my push chair on the 28/04/2017 it was a mother care Journey I absolutely loved the pushchair never had a bad word to say about it. But the last week it won't stop squeaking, the wheels keep locking by there self which resulted in me and my son going flying and my push chair tipping, the rubber has ripped& the clips to collapse the pushchair have been made to small so every time I collapse my push chair it marks it(only noticed this about 2 days ago).... went to mother care today 28/07/2017 spoke to a lady called Chris, very helpful but they've given me a replacement pushchair that's meant to be for new born+ (my son is 4months old) and he doesn't sit in it properly he keeps falling to the side I asked for another push chair and the lady brings out a blue stroller that was filthy with chocolate and god knows what other stains so I refused to take that stroller and had to leave with a MACLAREN stroller that doesn't even support my son.... when your push chair breaks with mother care there meant to replace it with a pushchair the same amount of money as you paid for the pushchair there replacing my pushchair was only £299.00 and this push chair they replaced mine with is only about £90.00 so disappointed with mother care. I swore by this shop and it's meant to be one of the best shops for pushchairs. Highly disappointed with there service.

I really hope mother care sees this and actually does something about it before people rant and rave thinking I'm writing this post to keep people away from mother care it's nothing like that it's just that they weren't listening to what I had to say when I was explaining that this pushchair isn't suitable for my 4month old son and I hope by seeing this three Facebook they might actually do something. I still love mother care and will still shop there just VERY disappointed with the way they've dealt with everything. :(

As you can see by these photos my son is falling to the side. People might ask why he hasent got the top straps done up and it's because you can see there done up as tight as possible and it still doesn't support my son so didn't see the point of keeping them on. Even the lady in mother care said about the straps not being tight enough.

On Saturday 27th August 2016 I took my pram into Mothercare lakeside where I brought the pram even tho it's only been open 4 weeks and it broke by the handle and the clip to fold the pram down so they took the black chassis and said they will speak to bugaboo on Tuesday 30th August as it was bank Hoilday!

They offered me a loan pram but when she went to have a look out the back they only had a stroller which isn't suitable for a 6 week old baby to be in!

I have a quinny chassis at home lucky enough so I suggested if they have car seat adaptors for that pram and I will use the car seat as I only thought it would be for a couple of days!

I got a phone call on Tuesday 30th August saying my chassis is gonna take 3 weeks I was gutted but it was fine

But as the day went on I thought my child can not be in car seat for 3 weeks it's not healthy and good her as she has a lung condition called CPAM and she needs to be laying flat so her airways are clear as she can struggle to breath at times.

So I rung back mothercare and ask if they could find me a pram and find out from bugaboo why it's gonna take so long and to see if they can speed it up! But the lady called Louise refused to do so! Basically because I declined the stroller they didn't want to help me out so I asked to speak to customer service and she told me to ring them myself so we did!

The lady on the phone was very rude and telling us that we declined the stroller there not gonna do anything you take that or nothing basically!

But you can't put a newborn child in a stroller! So we asked what can they do and she told us to go and buy another pram after spending £1400 on the bugaboo if it was bothering us that much! Which isn't right! They should loan the pram suitable for the child's age! They wouldn't ring bugaboo for me they just refused to do anything! So we hung up!

Then I rung bugaboo myself and they explained my chassis isn't coming in till the 5th and then it's got to be shipped from the Netherlands which is understandable why it's gonna take 3 weeks I then asked if they could help as mothercare refused to and she suggested to take a chassis out the box and then when the new one comes replace it so they can still sell the pram

So I rung back mothercare and explained to them what I was told and they turned around and said there not going to do that! That they need consent from head office so I asked them to ring head office and they refused to do that too told me there not gonna do that! So I then asked them to ring around other stores to find a suitable loan buggy for my daughter and guess what they refused to do that too! Then they told me they will ring me back

So Louise rung me back and said I've heard you've rung again in a rude manor and I said yes I wanted something done today about a pram my child is not going in the car seat for 3 weeks! She was still not prepared to help so I suggested the chassis of the shop floor as they will not sell that buggy to customers until my new chassis come and she finally agreed with me and said yes but in a very rude manor so I collected it on Tuesday 27th August and they were talking about the situation when I walked it to collect which isn't the right manor!

In overall experience I will purchase a buggy or shop in mothercare Thurrock ever again it's appalling on how staff spoke to me and it's not good customer service but refusing to do their job and help me as a customer!!!

I am currently 9 months pregnant and myself and my husband attended your parent event on the 15th June. We spent over £1000 that evening on a furniture set and a Chico next 2 me dream crib, I hadn't heard anything about the delivery of the crib so rang the number on the receipt to see what was going on! The number was incorrect, after then finding the correct number myself I was told that the crib was on back order and they also didn't know when they were getting more. If this was the case I would not have purchased the item from you, I then called mothercare Thurrock who told me they were in stock and they didn't understand why I was being told that. The lady went off the phone and called them and then called me back to say my item was being picked and I should have it within the next couple of days. Once again a week had passed and I had heard nothing!! I called mothercare yesterday to find out what was going on only to be told my item had been cancelled!! And was also informed that no one would have told me this if I hadn't chased this up! I was also told I would have to go back to the store and re order the item, I refused as I am 9 months pregnant, why should I have to be dealing with this? It's not my fault your company is incompetent, there has been no care in this situation and I am shocked and disappointed.
