two years of heavy (sometimes very) lifting, competitive CrossFit and all of the varied high intensity conditioning that regular CrossFit training involves π€π» the message π€ 1) weight training can and will change your physique πͺπ» but, even with heavy weights, you will not become bulky or gain muscle mass quickly, especially if you are female ππΌββοΈ in fact for most new or beginn...er athletes embarking on a gym programme, gaining muscle size and bulk is really the last thing you need to worry about π unfortunately the ego driven world of βtransformationβ coaching sends our mixed and (for many potential clients), has unhelpful messages. By using quick fix rapid result transformation driven marketing, many are left believing that their muscles will grow in days and weeks. The subliminal effect of using rapid physique change, reinforced by manipulated and chemically enhanced imagery is that many (men and women alike) are put off training hard due to its perceived effects ππ» 2) Our advice is to never use physique change as an objective for training. Detach aesthetics from exercise. In doing so your relationship with training will improve and you will be far more likely to actually achieve long term health, fitness and indirectly an athletic physique πͺπ» remember that the way your body looks is simply a result of the demands placed upon it, focus on enjoying those demands, learning new skills and competing if that motivates you ππ»ββοΈπΊπΌπ
