Mulberry Education Description

At various times in your child’s life, individual tutoring can be of great benefit. It can make a huge difference to attitude, confidence, understanding and progress.

To have a tutor, who sits with your child and who patiently explains and encourages them is an ideal way to learn. Our local schools do excellent work within the time and resources available, but they are not always able to offer such personal one-to one time. Private tutoring, whether it is just for a few lessons, for a term, a year, or for sustained, longer support, can be of priceless value to your child and for their future.

My name is Kylie Tucker. I am a fully qualified teacher (B. Ed) with over 20 years experience in a variety of schools, both in Australia and the UK. My roles have also included Maths Coordinator, Assessment Coordinator and 1: 1 Tutor.

I use multi-sensory teaching methods to enable all children, regardless of ability and underlying learning needs, to achieve their full potential in a fun and nurturing environment. New concepts are taught through practical activities, games and interactive programmes and are regularly reinforced until your child is secure with the new skills. Revision and consolidation are an important aspect of the learning process. Individual tuition, through personalised teaching programmes, allows children to progress at their own pace, revising and revisiting areas as necessary.

Tuition is available for primary age children and those students in lower secondary (years 7 and 8). Sessions normally take place on a weekly or fortnightly basis in my newly refurbished and fully equipped study in Old Harlow. Sessions are generally 1 hour long and cost £25, although longer session times can be negotiated depending on need and availability.
