EAT THE MEAT OF YOUR UDHIYYAH (Sacrifice), PLEASE !!
One of the most tasty dishes that Allah TA'ALA has created for us in this world, is by far, the meat and viscera (internal organs like liver, kidneys, lungs etc) of our very own Sacrificial animal. This meat is so enjoyable and blessed that on the day of Eid al-Adha, our most noble Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) would have some portion of his Udhiyyah as his first meal of the day.
Did you know that the people of ...the previous nations were not allowed to partake of their Sacrifices? A fire would appear from the sky and devour it, but for the ummah of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam), we are allowed to consume it. This is a special honour and privilege for us.
This is the reason why we are called the "Guests of Allah" during the three days of Adha when partaking of this blessed meat slaughtered to gain the nearness to Allah. Of course, do distribute some portion of it to your relatives and the needy too.
When the meat of our Udhiyyah is so delicious and blessed, described as "melt in the mouth," why is it that some have a disliking towards this meat? Agreed, some have sensitive stomachs and can not eat the fresh meat of the day, but they do not even eat this meat thereafter. Why this queer dislike for Udhiyyah meat and preference for butcher meat? I really find this very strange!
If you naturally do not like Udhiyyah meat, isn't it time to break this phobia and start eating it? Do it for the love of Allah and his noble Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam). Eat a very small piece first, then a bigger piece. Then have a small meal of it. In time, you will actually start looking forward to the next Eid al-Adha.
This is a very easy Sunnah to revive, and your children will thank you for it in the years to come.
