🎀 YOUR CHILDS ORAL HEALTH 🎀 -- Baby Cups --
... Feeding from a bottle should be discouraged after 6 months. Many parents favour feeding cups as they don't leak when dropped. They still however require a sucking action rather than normal drinking and therefore encourage constant sipping on demand - which can be detrimental to erupting teeth.
There is also concern about the affect feeder cups have on the developing muscles of the face and mouth. We strongly encourage to wean your child on to a normal child's cup without a lid, up to or at the age of 12 months. Cups with lids and valves to prevent spillage also encourage continual sipping and can result in caries.
