About Nambucca

Live music venue.

Nambucca Description

Welcome to the all-new Nambucca!
We’ve kept the name and the spirit but everything else is new.

Our big stage is now at the back of the room so all in the venue can see what’s happening. There's a totally new interior with state-of-the-art sound and lighting, new solid hardwood dancefloor.

Since reopening at the end of 2014 we have hosted Wolf Alice, Kaiser Chiefs, Slaves, Fat White Family, Mac DeMarco, The Kooks, The Amazons, Wretch 32, The Wombats, Sundara Karma, The Enemy, The Rifles, Hackney Colliery Band and much more.

See our website for more info and full listings.

On this day (26/11) in 1973 New York Dolls made their live UK debut at Biba's Rainbow Room, London. The American band who formed in New York in 1971 influenced the look of many new wave and 1980s-era glam metal groups.

We had a fabulous night, last night, at Nambucca. Great venue and atmosphere. Especially loved Shanghai Blues band ..They rocked the house. Always enjoy Nambucca :)

User

Top class venue - excellently equipped and set up for live music with a purpose built stage and dance area and a cracking selection of drinks at the bar to boot. Friendly staff and cool vibe - would recommend as a great place to play and a great night out (y)

User

Thank you to the barman who gave me a lighter when I forgot my phone and didn't have a light to open my keysafe...

User

Nothing but good things to say about this prestigious venue, great people, great beer, great music, great great great!

User

Nambucca is one of North London's gems. A great music venue showcasing great talent, working with some of the countries best promoters it seems. I've discovered heaps of new music here and love the vibe. Really friendly staff, great drinks and great vibe:

User

Nambucca is a forward thinking music venue run by dedicated professionals. They work hard to bring their public fresh and inspirational musical talent. This is genuinely one of the best pubs in the area for live music and has been for many years. Go there or never really understand life :-)

User

Many years back I was walking past Nambucca and some idiot fired an air pellet gun from across the road which just missed me and my daughter so I said I would never walk past and never enter the venue, many years later I decided to go and see a gig last night and had the best time, I love the look of the place with doors on walls and the staff were very friendly, will I go back hell yeah, great beer and brilliant atmosphere

User

I love Nambucca, it's my favourite venue. If I lived in north London I'd be there all the time! The staff are friendly, the drinks are affordable, the sound is good, the toilets are clean (always an important issue!), some of my favourite bands play there...

User

Great venue in North London for all bands, from big acts to local unsigned artists. I've had many a good time and heard lots of great music at Nambucca. Bar staff are great and Zach is a legend. Peace out

User

Great place for up and coming bands.Staff were very hepful. Nice place to hang out with friends and listen to live music, Zak the boss was a star

User

Great live music venue, good sound, friendly staff - and I love the doors all over the walls. Made me think that there might be hidden secret passages

User

Fantastic Place. Well worth another visit!

User

Best Live Music venue I've been to. Excellent space.. The drinks selection top. I'd be surprised if you went to the bar and your drink wasn't there. Wish you were in SouthEast London as well!

User

A hidden gem. A 'real' music venue in the heart of Holloway. Showcasing the best new live music across all genres. Friendly bar staff and management. All in all a top night out.

User

Music was good, seemed abit dead tbh. Only issue I had was the drinks. £4.80 for a pint of Budwiser is a bit pricey especially since I paid to get in and the cola for £3.20 that tasted like it was from a supermarket? I probably won't go again, but the food smelled good and it looks good.

User

Generally a good music venue & bar staff are friendly but antisocial behaviour of some of the punters is ruining the experience for locals.

User

Just turned up to a gig where I was under the impression it was free entry.

Girl at the door said it isn't and was never advertised as free on the event, however the fb event shows no ticket link and does not specify an entry fee in the description. Furthermore the event is not listed on the website.

Now, I know £5 is not much but I specifically chose to attend a free in night to save money in the run up to Xmas.

I feel cheated. Considering cancelling tickets for a future event.

Not impressed.
