visited yesterday with a 6 and an 8 year old. They really enjoyed the museum, especially the figureheads and the models of the ship. The area for kids is great too and they enjoyed colouring in nautical pictures and trying their hand at steering a ship! I especially loved seeing Nelson's coat he wore at The Battle of Trafalgar. I feel very lucky to live in a city where these museums are free to visit and help enrich our knowledge.

One of London's great museums, which has the advantage of being in a magnificent building in one of the most beautiful and historically significant parts of the city. The collection and the way in which it is displayed does an incomparable job of conveying the importance of the sea and seapower to our development as a nation, and of a major part of global history as well.

A very nice experience, this museum is really made to help you understand the history and the achievements of the british seamen. The section dedicated to Nelson and the battle of Trafalgar is very educative. If you go to Greenwich, beside going to the observatory, you should really stop here and visit the museum.

A very interesting museum. Well set out to show the history of Britain’s sea forces. A lot of detail about the trading history and colonisation made possible by advances in shipping. Also the wars at sea. There were a lot of children there as there were hands on things for them so the cafe was noisy. The actual exhibition areas were quieter.
