This has got to be one of the best curry places in the 3 continents I have visited. Friendly service, great food, good prices. What more could you want? Thanks guys.

Nice and tasty mix grill n food and good service

User

Me and my wife went their for celebrating Valentine's Day. And the food was so delicious. I will go there again..

User

It really does beat the rest in the area for consistency of food and value for money. The kebabs are all succulent and tasty with a fiery sting unless you ask for them to be mild, the shish kebabs are always a little on the hot side but very very tasty. The fish tilka cooked served in a foil package with onion is a must. We rarely have mains but when we do both the korai's, meat and chicken are amazing as is the legendary dry meant curry, never tasted anything like it before. The breads especially roti are fresh, hot and also a must. For the veggies the dhal and aubergine were full of flavour, the right consistency as in not runny or too dry. Mix that with a BYO policy and you have a winner.

User

Food is always excellent But when you want to pay they always say card machine is broken

User

Amazing place to dine, especially for a larger crowd. My football team went there for our Xmas do and we had a great time, food was served extremely fast even though there was 15 of us and the 'bring your own bottle' worked incredibly well!

The mixed grill starter is a great choice, and for a main there are too many great dishes to singled out but as someone who loves paneer, I can recommend the paneer here, delicious 😋

Thank you Needoo Grill, keep up the good work!!!!

A beautiful atmosphere that welcomes one with an original layout and pleasant décor. The staff are unobtrusive yet present as required, quietly spoken, efficient and effective, really a goodly experience dealing with them in whichever language you choose, Hindi, Urdu, or English. I hope they have a Tamil-speaker or two among their staff as well, that would be a completion.

As for the food, well, here's the delight, and it is after all the main reason for entering the premises after all. We started our night with an ample supply of Puppadums, a small salad consisting of cucumber, onions and tomatoes, and some sauces while we awaited the arrival of the third member of our party.

Once the table was full we started with Lamb Samosas, fried parcels of lamby loveliness that were not too spicy hot but filled with lamb and peas and a lovely dry sauce.

Then came Peshawar Naan, a naan filed with Mango puree, with a piping hot and very spicy Mixed Grill consisting of Chicken Tandoor, Lamb Chops in a delicious sauce, and Seekh Kebabs (minced beef kebabs, spiced and cooked on an open grill). The rest of our order arrived as we neared completion of these two dishes, as the meals are cooked freshly to the request of the patron. Our meals consisted of Butter Chicken, Dry Meat, a Bhindi (Okra) dish with Garlic naan. These dishes were up to the usual excellent standard set by the first two dishes and tasted delightful, the Butter Chicken had to be picked up in hand using the naan bread because it slid right off the fork I was provided with. The Dry Meat had it's usual excellent texture and flavours. I ordered a couple of Chappatis to mop up the sauces with, and make no mistake it was well worth the minute or two wait while the guys in the kitchen brought me a wicker basket filled with a scent that took me back to my journey across India during my youth.

Well done to the kitchen staff, serving staff, and administrators of Needoo restaurant for providing an authentic taste of Indian food in the inner London suburbs.

Oh, and prices, well, suffice it to say that £70 was enough to pay for three of us and we still had some food for take-home and tomorrow's lunch, a guilty pleasure.

User

food very tasty decent portion .i ordered fish tikka to my surprise portion was bigger to what the menu said only reason i wouldn’t rate it 5 as the salad was a day before old (tomato was soggy) which was disappointing .but overall decent price would go again

User

Nice clean restaurant staff are okay but the portion sizes really really small they really need to work on the portion size otherwise the food is okay I really enjoyed their Nan and I found that Dall was quite nice

User

My friend and I were seated straight away and allowed to choose our own table instead of being shown where to sit.

There was already water on the table but this should have been brought to us upon arrival so we knew it was fresh. I chose not to have any but my friend and other guests who joined us shortly after drank some water.

The food in my opinion is ok priced. The naan is made fresh to order as it should be. We ordered quite a lot of food and variety of it. Butter chicken, lamb chops, keema naan, aloo naan, a whole chicken, channa and other dishes. For the location of the restaurant, I wouldn't have paid more.

The service was good and the waiters were spot on with this.

This is only my second visit. I would eat here again. I recommend the restaurant to others. It isn't great for those who have small children in push chairs. There's nowhere to sit on the level of the restaurant. You have to walk up stairs or go downstairs in order to sit at a table. It's also not disabled friendly at all.

Other restaurants I've been to that serve this type of food also provide free poppadoms. Not sure if we were charged or not for the ones we had but we had to ask for them so it's possible these were extra.

User

It was very cold inside, the mix grill was OK, karahi gosht and naans were waoww tasty.

Lamb biryani was a disaster but the mango lassi was awesome.

The staffs were good.

User

Food was ok but not as good as other restaurants in the area. I think the waiters must have a competition going - who can get the customers out quickest! Starters and main curry came all at once and the bill made an appearance while we were still eating! 😏

User

The menu contained no description of dishes and the pictures had ingredients photoshopped onto various dishes, it was very odd. The restaurant environment was past its best and could do with a bit redecorating. Waiting staff were not helpful- having asked what ingredients were in one of the lamb dishes, the response was 'lamb'. What else is in it? 'Masala...'. A bit disappointing having come here for the restaurant being in the top 10 Indian restaurants to visit in Time Out magazine, I've had a lot better.

User

Sorry to say that this time the food was terrible, couldn't really eat the lamb karai , naans were lovely but let down on the mixed grill and currys and the servive was bad we had 3children and i got the impression they went happy , not again in a hurry will stick to tayyabs in future

User

I went because of recommendation , food was good but the waiters were so rude I asked if they could clean the floor for me where they showed me to sit with my family , the waiter just told me i would have to wait a long time for it to be cleaned and went off.

It was over packed with people and a total mess on the floor.

User

Food was ok but the service is something that needs to be looked at. We are 5 friends who went out for a meal just to chill and enjoy ourselves. I was disappointed at the fact they just tried to rush us out of the restaurant as quickly as possible. Taking away plates whilst we are eating, giving us a bill before we've even asked for it (we were going to have deserts but ended leaving without) we're 2 examples of the service they provided.

Won't be going back there very soon.

User

Let me start off with this ridiculous restaurant. The staff are incompetent and cannot take orders properly. I had ordered butter chicken and the guy came out with a dish that didn't look or taste like butter chicken. Unfortunately I got extremely sick from their food. I mean just disgusting absolutely disgusting. It's a shame they can't make a simple dish such as butter chicken. When I asked the waiter to change my dish he started arguing telling me that's butter chicken. I told him that's not butter chicken for sure. I've had butter chicken in like over ten restaurants and this definitely didn't look or taste like it. Never going here again and would never recommend this place to anyone

User

It seems to be set up as a copy of the famous tayyubs which is round the corner. It's overpriced with small portions. The seating is so tight and cramped that to pop out means if your sitting near the window seat everyone has to get up to let you out!! The toilet is filthy, the waiters just grunt and aren't very friendly.

User

It couldn't be any worse if it tried. Very vibrant and busy and the starter chops were good. Thereafter it fell of the edge of a cliff like boulder. I've eaten in hundreds of Asian restaurants in Needoo is well and truly the worst recycled, reheated pile of s**t ever to disgrace a plate. It was only made worse because I had been recommended the place and went with a couple of curry officianados. It's geared to the pile high-sell cheap to students brigade. Finally the toilets were filthy, never a good sign, and on the way out I got a glimpse downstairs into the kitchens where a washing up bowl of rice was sat on the stairs. All I will say is if you enjoy a good curry night and value your health, don't, just don't....
