What a spectacular week and it’s not even over.
Firstly congratulations to Amrit for graduating in optometry & congratulations Roshni on her new wonderful journey.
Both girls started working at New Vision Opticians at the ages of 15 & 16 and during this time they have achieved some amazing milestones that they should be really proud of - as are we 💗
... This Saturday we will be raising some glasses to join in the celebrations so we will be closed on Saturday 20th June 🥂

SEE the invisible with a OCT scan
What is OCT? Ocular Coherence Tomography is an advanced eye scan for people of all ages.
Similar to ultrasound, OCT uses light rather than sound waves to illustrate the different layers that make up the back of the eye. This particular 3D OCT unit captures a digital photograph of the surface of the eye at the same time and this can be cross referenced across any areas of concern.

Over the past year New Vision has been working closely with a local school and providing valuable information to both parents are pupils about the importance of Eye Health Care. 👁
We highlighted 3 main areas which is useful to individuals new to the NHS system
1) Eye Test are FREE for children under the age of 16 ✅
... 2)Eye Tests are painless ✅
3) Everyone needs a routine Eye Test every 1-2 years. ✅
We also spoke about the harmful affects of UV Rays(ultra violet). UV exposure can harm the eyes and we encourage children to wear sunglasses. So if your child is unsure when to wear sunglasses we can help.
We have designed colour changing UV wrists bands which indicate the presence of UV rays and encourages you to wear sunglasses.
