Nhs Blood Donation

Our Staff are at The Edgware Boardwalk Town Centre, Shopping Centre. If you are in the area please come along and register or book an appointment with our staff. We will be there until 3pm.

Worth going to the Edgware Donor Centre as they have appointments available all the time!



It's not a complaint but when taking blood yesterday .. they did miss my vein initially and had to jab around a bit to get the vein .. hey ho .. there's no exact science to it all!!



I used to be a phlebotomist so know how it goes! �

They're very kind I am very helpful I have a disability help me with the forms I'm very happy to go to this place because I find this place but I didn't and the other ones I've been to so I give them 10 out of 10

The staff are excellent and look after me whenever I give blood. Yesterday, me and my daughter have blood together and they were great

The staff are amazing, and the centre is easy to get to and easy to park. The whole experience was simple and quick.

It was my first time giving blood and I was made very comfortable and appreciated. The staff were highly professional and knowledgable. They looked after me really well. I will be going again.

It is such a good thing to do , helping others that need your blood type in an emergency .I try and donate whenever I can

I've been using Edgeware donor centre for many years and have participated in many of studies. From double dosage red to the interval study and now back on normal giving. The staff are always excellent, the snacks and drinks are always appreciated and the centre is managed well.

I've been donating at the NW London donation Centre since 1971 - with a few breaks in between those 46 years!

The staff are always super-friendly and kind; so professional, efficient and excellent in what they do.

Donating blood is really easy and doesn't hurt ( apart from that initial small, scratch when the needle is put in).

The spin-off is that one can feel proud to have given something, for nothing and to, possibly, have saved a life or two into the bargain.

I have been going there for years and I love the place. I have more then 100 donations and I will keep on going.

Nurses are really kind and they always want to help I feel at home.

I give platelets every few weeks to a month now but I use to be blood donor for years and I wanted to do more so I started giving platelets, July this year, I love helping people and my local blood bank in Edgware make it easy and comfortable and their services are fantastic. I have been using that blood centre since 2008, love it. People if you can give blood and if you really really can, go and give platelets, especially men.

I donated for the first time and the experience was far less daunting than expected. The staff were calm, friendly and helpful.

I donated blood yesterday for the first time. It was a great feeling knowing I was doing something good to help somebody.



Staff were very understanding and helpful as they saw I was a bit nervous. Will definitely donate again and looking forward to it.

Giving platelets is something I've done for a very long time and am now approaching 1,000 donations. The staff at the centre are all fantastic and caring. Unfortunately the service is let down by the faceless management who are always tinkering with the system neither consulting or taking cognizance of the donors. They know that we'll always be back regardless of the latest changes and inconvenience. Their latest change is to withdraw the little anaesthetic injection I and many other platelet donors have prior to needle insertion. It's not a huge thing but makes being attached to the machine for an hour and upwards a bit more comfortable. Many donors are unhappy about this but I doubt if any will stop. I won't but it'll make the donation less enjoyable, more uncomfortable and detract from the experience. BUT senior management have decreed this and us mere donors, must accept the consequences.

Gave blood yesterday for time in ages and what an awesome bunch of people I was graced with. Would rather the 50 mile drive there than a stuffy old village hall in Northamptonshire. �

Gave blood last night. Booked an appointment and didn't wait long. All very smooth and easy. And the best bit.... The chocolate macaroons!!!

Free parking, clean, friendly staff, all in all a smooth experience.

Always had a great experience here. I have never had to wait very long and the staff are very professional and friendly. As it is a permanent centre there are loads of appointments to choose from if you book in advance.

Always a pleasure to give blood and do my bit to help - the staff at Edgware are fantastic happy and helpful. Always worth it for a biscuit and cup of tea

Yesterday was the first time I was a little disappointed with the service Unfortunately one of the nurses was more interested in watching the TVs and reading the subtitles than making eye contact or conversation with me. When I asked if the TVs was a distraction she thought I was referring to the TVs content �
