This was my 75th blood donation and I'm pleased to say it went really well. The needle went in easily and the donation was quite quick. No bruising. No after effects. A lovely chat with Abigail, a donor care assistant. A nice cup of tea and biscuits. Also the free wifi is great. I love West London Donor Centre as it is near both my place of work and Oxford Circus tube station and I can donate 4 times a year there unlike most mobile centres. They always fix the next appointment while you have your cup of tea.

This people are awesome!!! Friendly, funny and warm welcome. After long day in work I t was very relaxing hear they singing "Higher and higher" with smiles on faces. I've been so fair in three places. This one is my favourite. 👌

This one was my 15th donation since I'm in London. I love to be useful somehow. The experience was great as usual. The staff is lovely and the receptionist recognised me. Thank you! Se you in July!

This is by far the best place I've donated blood. The location is excellent, and whilst you're there the process runs so smoothly you're already looking forward to your next appointment. And I can't speak highly enough about the staff that work there.

Ps: I love the aftercare area, seated area with drinks and snacks to help you recover. A big thumbs up to the West End Donor Centre 👍🏻

These guys are awesome. I came here for my third donation, second was at a different location where things did not go well. My arm was completly numb for two days and painful for two weeks. I explained to them what happened and they took great care of me tried to find out why my arm went bad and found a way to make sure I could still give.

Everytime I've been back they have been great, making sure my arms still OK and good to give before taking a donation

The staff are lovely, lovely people! Yes sometimes you have to wait a little longer, especially on a Saturday, even if you booked an appointment but that's because lots of wonderful people, like you, are also giving blood & the staff only have 6 beds they can use at a time. So take a book. Don't huff & puff & sigh about it like the dapper dressing fellow who was sat next to me yesterday. Everyone there is doing a great thing. So sit back & relax, but mostly be polite to the staff! 😃

Staff are very friendly and welcoming and really appreciate you taking the time to donate. I have donated at the Margaret Street centre the last 4 times and the process is almost totally painless and local to pop down during my lunch hour. I would encourage everyone that can to donate!!!

User

Just reached my 50th milestone and visited lots of blood donation centres not only in the UK. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming and I can only recommend this centre in the city of London.

I'm afraid of needles and the last two times I have been were not great. Couldn't find a view and low amount of blood taken the other time. This time however a bloke called Paul who told me he'd been there for seven years took the time to find a good vein and stayed with me talking throughout the whole process. Without him and the other brilliant staff this might have been my last but now I'm much more relaxed and actually looking forward to my next donation.

User

I think I was the last appointment of the day today, despite this everyone was lovely. There was a real friendly feeling from all of the staff and the chairs are much more comfortable that the mobile places I usually use.

User

I have been going to Margaret St for years, just given my 88th donation and although I have seen a lot of changes over the years the one thing that has remained constant is the friendliness of the staff.

Do something amazing and give blood, you never know you may need some one day.

I had my first donation today in Peacehaven and I felt comfortable throughout. One nurse in particular, Nicky, was really good with me. I’m registered severely sight impaired and I’m on the autism spectrum and I feel like she really helped me out and looked after me. As it was my first donation I felt very faint afterwards, which in turn caused me to panic slightly as I was disorientated and having low vision I didn’t have anything to focus on to stabilise myself but the wonderful staff made me feel calm by putting my chair back and letting me rest until I was ok to move on. Thank you NHS blood donation.

User

Great! Easy, pain free and the crisps and chocolate are awesome at the end!

Giving someone a free, potentially life saving gift is the best 👌🏻

User

Friendly staff and nurses I'll definitely be going as every time I try to book an appointment my rota at work gets changed and there for I have to cancel plus look for another location near to where I live. I wish I had known about this earlier I'll be back to donate here

User

Always a real pleasure to donate here. The team are wonderful and I always feel a real sense of accomplishment after a visit to this Centre. If anyone reading this has never donated before and a little anxious please go here first. You'll never look back!

User

Abigail the donor carer did an amazing job at putting the cannula in my arm on Wednesday - it hardly hurt at all! And she was nice enough to say it was because of my good vein. High five Abigail and well done all staff. It is a lovely centre and the snack are tip-top as well.

User

This was 82nd donation and I've been going there for about five years. The staff are always lovely, caring and appreciative of the donors. We appreciate the staff too! Keep up your good work all 💉👍👍

User

The initial wait can be a little long but the staff are so friendly and the speed of the actual process is so fast that you quickly forget the wait. It's clean, bright, comfortable and there are lots of snacks afterwards :)

I went to Margaret street to donate on the 27th April, there was a misunderstanding with the receptionist as I did not hear him saying I had to return the form to him and I thought I had to give it to the nurse so I waited 45 minutes, after I asked him why the long wait he told me it was because I did not reutn the form to him so I was not registered although he did register me on the system when I went in, he asked me all my personal information, he insisted this is not how it works and he was very condescending and borderline rude.

When I wen to donate I was told my iron is low and I cannot donate for 1 year then the nurse went on to inform me I should book a donatation every 4 months *when the system allows me to book every 3 months( and this is absolutely the first time anyone had told me that, even in the past when I had another episode of low iron no one told me I should wait 4 months between donations and the system allows me to book every 3 months.

So now I cannot donate for 1 year and also I was only now told if I have 1 more episode of low iron they will remove me from the donor list forever.

Ths is not fair at all as I really love helping the community
