"Your prayer
is sometimes about your needs, and sometimes about your sins, and sometimes about your gratitude, ... and sometimes about you just wanting to talk,
but it's always EVERY time about Allah loving it and that's why He makes our du'a to Him from the best of our worship."
Abu Esa Naimatullah

#WhiteRibbonDay Our Chairman, Br Yusuf Hansa was invited to speak at the White Ribbon Day event at The Supreme Court (London) organised by Kiran Support Services on Tuesday 27th November 2018.
The aim of White Ribbon Day is to encourage men to stand up and speak out against domestic violence.
... Parts of Br Yusuf’s speech: “The Qur’an and prophetic practice clearly illustrate the relationship between spouses as being based on tranquillity, unconditional love, tenderness, protection, encouragement, peace, kindness, comfort, justice and mercy.
Islam encourages peaceful ways of life and forbids all kind of violence and abuses. If domestic problems arise, there must be a fair solution for all those involved.”
Other speakers at the event included: Canon Steven Saxby (London Churches Social Action), David Frei (Registrar of London Beth Din ,Court of the Chief Rabbi), Amardeep Singh (Leyton Gurdwara) and Nazia Rashid (Anthony Gold Solicitors). #WhiteRibbonDay

Congratulations to Sr Carolyn Axtell and Hornbeam JoyRiders women's cycle club for winning the Best Physical Activity and Health Project Award at the Waltham Forest Sports Awards on 22nd November 2018. Sr Carolyn who was a guest speaker at Noor Ul Islam’s Interfaith Dinner 2018 runs Hornbeam JoyRiders which is family cycling project that organises social rides and provides support to get women into cycling. Most of the women Sr Carolyn works with are from Muslim community and have little or no experience of cycling before they get involved.

Our Year 3 Primary school pupils visited the Sun Trap Centre for “Surviving the Stone Age”. They explored tools and objects that were used in the stone age and created their own cave drawings using chalk.
They also went into Epping Forest as a village tribe; looking for animals to hunt and water to drink and creating their own den using the branches of trees!

I think Noor ul Islam is going in the right direction but as I am a Parliamentary Campaigner I would like to see it being more inclusive for everyone.

I would like to see a Changing Places Toilet also be installed in the new build plan and if you can get in-touch with the council to include in the plan.

please have a look and do think deeply about this and how this would be the first inclusive Mosque in the country.

I am happy to do a presentation about the campaign if you like
