We had a great time in the hotel. Staff was very polite and kind. The room was large enough for 2 adults and 2 children. The room was clean and the bed is good. After the long days we had plenty of rest. The breakfast is also good, lots of different options so everybody can have what they want.

My best friend and I attended Walker Stalker Con London this weekend and had booked a room here. It was our first visit and we were both impressed. Lovely clean room and friendly staff. Reasonable price too for a hotel in Central London. Only a five minute walk from Hammersmith underground and a 10 min walk from Olympia.

User

Meeting rooms are very good. Did have a small issue with controlling the air conditioning, which was keeping us all very cold. The restaurant buffet food is excellent, a really great choice, and very healthy.

User

Highly recommend this hotel. The staff are so helpful and nice. The hotel is spotless and so clean. I will definitely return here

Room was clean and comfortable and I'm always happy to find tea and coffee in my room. However there was a lack of plug sockets in our twin room.

Breakfast was nice with plenty of choice. They were quick to seat us both mornings although I think 17 pound is a little pricey.

The bar staff were friendly and chatty and the food at the bar was tasty. (The pot of crisps with our drinks was very welcome)

They were happy to store our bags after check out.

I would stay here again.

User

Nice hotel polite and efficient staff. A little dated and basic but well located.

The food is very good for a hotel and I really enjoyed the lamb burger at the bar.

We had a two day event to enjoy and the hotel was perfect for it. The business centre and meeting rooms were well staffed and big enough for our events. I would use this hotel again.

User

-the best was the really perfect staff, they were all so nice

-older, but clean rooms

-great breakfast

-placed in London-West, but good connection to central London

+Lovely foyer, lovely food, comfy bed. - rubbish aircon, slow waiter service at breakfast (sat down with food but no knives and forks to eat it with, asked for cutlery and was brought 1 set after 5 mins and a dessert spoon to stir the coffee with. Hubby had to hunt for his own while the waitress seated other people.

Perfectly fine hotel, nice staff, clean room, tea and coffee etc. However, £208 for one nights stay in an “executive suite” which turned out to be the smallest hotel room we’ve ever seen... I can echo what other guests are saying about having one bath robe for two guests is very strange indeed. I can only imagine what a standard room is like!

The guests in the room next to us seemed to be having a party until 1:45am of which we could hear everything, so after a poor nights sleep to then check out and pay for our parking, we discovered that for ONE night, parking fees were £66.50. This is the most expensive parking we’ve ever come across in London and is utterly extortionate. I dread to think how much it would cost if you decided to stay longer than one night.

It’s no wonder check out staff don’t even ask how your stay was because I bet they’re scared of your response and know you’re about to get absolutely ripped off in the car park!!

All in all a nice hotel but with absolutely no value for money.

User

hotel was lovely and clean but walls are so thin could hear cackling woman and their conversations all night and early morning! Came away very tired. Breakfast was very nice enjoyed the best scrambled eggs ever and pancakes. Unfortunately they called us back down to say card never took our 300+ money so we handed card back only to see this morning they have taken it twice and now we in a hole!

Staying here for the week for a work event. I called a day prior to arrival and requested to have an early check-in if available. I understand that it couldn’t be guaranteed, but I at least wanted to check. I arrive after a long International flight to ask about checking in early. When inquiring at the check in desk upon arrival, I was told that there is no way to check in before 2pm. The rep didn’t even offer to take my number to let me know if anything came available before 2pm. No apologies or any sense of customer service. After several hours, I finally was able to check in. Not one minute before 2pm.

Next issue: I get to my room and it is HOT. I figured that it was just because nobody had been there. I turned down the thermostat and waited for a while. This particular day was 85 degrees in London. After about an hour, the temperature had gotten hotter. There was hot air coming from the vents. After being so exhausted from traveling and melting from the 85 degree weather, I expected that I would at least have a relaxing shower and a comfortable temperature inside. Completely wrong. As if the thermostat issue weren’t enough, the shower head was broken and stuck in the lowest possible position on the pole. Not only that, but the drain cap for the shower was broken and I nearly cut my foot. I had to get my room switched. The air conditioner seems to have many issues in this hotel. My new room was only a slight improvement in that area. I had to eventually turn the thermostat off and open the windows. Thankfully, the nights in London have been cool this week. I had room service delivered and the delivery person also complained about the air conditioning. She said that many guests had been complaining through the day.

I am completely dissatisfied in my stay at this hotel and will not re-book for my future work events.

User

Stayed here for one night as we had an event at the Apollo. Weather was shocking so being able to have somewhere so close was great!

Check in was quick and easy, and had been upgraded as we were “guests of the day” which basically meant we had an executive suit on the 9th floor. The room was nice, but I’m pretty sure for the same price I’ve paid for a regular room at similar hotels. But the room was clean and well maintained so couldn’t complain too much. - and it was a free upgrade...

Went down for some lunch to find that only the bar was serving food. Where there seemed to be far too many staff watching you look at the menu deciding what too eat. Also, on this very snowy day it seemed as though the air con was stuck on blowing out cold air. We had seen an engineer out on site who said it shouldn’t be on. The hotel were offering the staff hoodies but did not advise customers of the situation; we were just left to sit in the cold. And then when we ordered our food this cold air caused our food to be cold quickly. We ordered the beef burger and asked to have the onion relish left off, which they were happy to do... however it still came out. It was easier to leave it rather than mention anything as the waiter seemed to know little English and found it difficult understanding coleslaw.

We didn’t get breakfast in the hotel as at £17 a person I would expect to be in the Ritz! McDonalds is just around the corner!

We stupidly forgot to bring our phone chargers and the staff were happy to charge our phones, however when we picked them up a few hours later only one had been charged “the plug wasn’t in properly” was the excuse we were given, which simply is poor and not good enough really.

Check out was quick and easy thankfully.

Overall the room was okay, but that’s all I would use it for, just as base. Not somewhere I’d feel I could relax after a day out in London.

User

Stayed for a week in Feb '18 for business. Overall experience is ok, could be better. Breakfast and dinners above average but good selection. A lot of improvement can be done on customer service ... arrived at 6.30 am on Sunday morning after a 14 hour flight from Asia, understandably, there will be no check in until after 12 at least, but without even asking if I wanted to deposit my bag etc, the first counter/ reception I tried talking to, just brushed me off saying come back at 3pm. Had it not for the jet lag I would have been offended. Approached another reception, she was much warmer in the response, saying she would try to allocate the first room available and offered to hold my bags for me. She even gave me a temp key to access the gym while waiting for the few hours.

Attitude is critical in the customer service industry, and had I met the 2nd receptionist first, this would have been a 5 star post ...

User

Stayed 14/10/17 one night. Hotel is nice, room great, loads of sockets, multi-media connections, good TV, Comfy bed, nice shower. Would have been a 4 may be a 5 but just not sure if I’d comeback. Check in was slow, lady was nice but her English wasn’t great, struggled typing my name into the computer to find my booking, took ages, said we had breakfast but we didn’t we had evening meal, then didn’t inform me we had been accepted for upgrade so the extra £8 on bill was a surprise, I asked if she could book us a table in a restaurant as I’d paid for a 3 course evening meal, she said she didn’t know how to, other colleagues might she said but not her, after travelling 4 hours we just wanted to get to the room so left it at that. We pre-authorised £50 on check-in for any extras. Found restaurant(s), wasn’t clear on booking that the offer for 3 course food was only for the buffet style restaurant, which took away any choice as to be honest we’d have rather been in the ‘proper restaurant’, food was good though and good value, we ordered a bottle of wine, asked the girl to charge it to the room she said she didn’t know if we could? Well eventually that was sorted and £28 charged. Check out had issues again, reception wanted £54 extra for the restaurant bill, explained paid for food in advance and only ordered one bottle of wine etc., charged that £28 +£5 tip, receptionist wasn’t having it I explained several times before she got a colleague who went down the same route this is your restaurant bill etc. They eventually both went into the back office for some time after I refused to pay £54. When they appeared the declared there had been an error on their system and in fact I owed £28 wine, gratuity £5 and £8 for the upgrade, oh I’d been upgraded then, that’s explains the robes we found the that morning in the wardrobe? So we settle on £41 and left. So nice hotel but the basics of staff not being able to book a table or knowing if you can charge to a room and then trying to over-charge on departure took the edge off. I accept errors happen but I really felt like it was down to me to prove your receptionist wrong rather than her just saying let me go check that for you sir and find by restaurant charge bill clearly stating £28+£5 not £54. A final observation the Nespresso machine is a fancy touch, but your toilet paper was truly awful and cheap, like Travelodge cheap. Not everyone drinks coffee, but everyone uses toilet paper.

User

Poor reception - it took 30 minutes to check in because the receptionist insisted I present ID for my pre- paid accommodation,; apparently the credit card if used to book with wasn't enough. A bit of a stand- off ensued, but eventually the manager confirmed I didn't need ID. as I travelled by train I didn't take my drivers licence and although 'up north' might be far away, you don't actually cross any international borders coming down from Shropshire, so passports are not generally required.

The room was ok , nothing special as was breakfast - a good selection, but buffet tepid! It was ok!! Nothing more.

User

Hello,

Can you please reply on my e-mail and its kind reminder regarding some belongings that i forgot in my room (night of june 4th to 5th)?

Thanks!

User

This hotel made an error with my reservation and booked me into another Novotel. They showed little respect or ownership to resolve this. It was very inconvenient.

User

The combo reception hall / hotel does not work. The wedding celebration with its loud music/ bass and DJ announcements is causing my room vibrate/ shake from the noise. Constant pounding. You can’t hear TV. You can’t talk to another person in the room. The pounding goes on till after 12 am. The front desk is helpless and unresponsive. They tell me they hear the same complaints all the time. The manager is absent and non reachable. I m sure she is aware of this preposterous situation.

User

So far I've been here half an hour and still not checked in. There was a queue of THREE people in front of me, it's taking ages. There are 2 women on one desk which is ridiculous when they can see how long it's taking for the other woman to check someone in. Now I'm at the front of the queue I can't check in despite having all relevant details, as my boss booked the room and I'm not him! He booked 5 rooms in total, clearly he's not staying in all of them. Now waiting at reception still. Wonder what the room will be like!!! Better be the Ritz after all this

Attitude is critical in the customer service industry, and had I met the 2nd receptionist first, this would have been a 5 star post ...

This hotel made an error with my reservation and booked me into another Novotel. They showed little respect or ownership to resolve this. It was very inconvenient.
