Really comprehensive class timetable, including the Les Mills classes as well as the PT run Synergy circuits which are fantastic. Between the two there will always be a class on at a time that suits. Good quality equipment, two squat racks as well as a deadlift platform and rarely too busy to get equipment. I almost never have to wait to use what I want to. Super friendly staff throughout the gym as well, and always working to improve the gym. I dont understand the negative comments.

It is the best equipped gym I have visited, although a little crammed in in parts. Facilities are excellent compared to those those seen in Hong Kong, New Zealand and Australia.

I've been a member for a couple of years - the equipment is good, and I mainly like this place for its lovely team - always happy to help/advise on the gym floor and have a chat, and great classes instructors too.

I got a PT (Steven T.) and nutritionist advice (Jess) to prep for my wedding this year.

Both were absolutely great at their job, fun, and caring. They helped shape my body so I'd feel great as a bride :)

They sent me off to my big day with a card, flowers and bubbly - that's how lovely they are.

Can't say thanks enough !

I joined Nuffield Health Paddington 1.5 years ago and it was one of the best decisions in my life.

All the staff were so encouraging and supportive when I first walked in - overweighed and unhappy with myself. I started attending classes every lunchtime. Within a year, I dropped almost 7 st, fell in love with fitness and became confident enough to approach one of the PT’s – Jordan Roye – and asked him to train me for Crossfit. Another good decision. This one, in fact, was lifesaving.

You wouldn’t believe how much proper training can change you. At that point, I was attending 2 different classes a day and felt “quite fit”. But I quickly found out that I wasn’t anywhere near being fit enough for Crossfit workouts. Poor Jordan had work really really hard to get me in shape. It took over 6 months to get fit enough to be able to complete at least some of the crossfit workouts. I was so proud of myself when I completed my first one :). And my body showed all that hard work – with last excess weight gone, I discovered my 6 pack ;).

And then, instead of enjoying my new firm body and being fit, I developed an eating disorder. I would train 2 hours a day without eating properly. Soon enough my heart couldn’t put up with it and started failing. At that point, Jordan could have dropped me. He should have dropped me. He didn’t. Instead, he put his own career into risk and helped me out of that hell. He has been there for me. All the time. Always making sure I eat before training, strictly controlling my workload, never allowing me to go too far or too hard. That’s saved my life. I can’t put into words how grateful I am.

I’m much better now, looking forward to being signed off by my psychologist very soon :).

But it wasn’t only Jordan, who’s been a great help on my journey. Stephen Thompson taught me that consistent work is key to success. Paul Scott showed me how competitive I can be. Amar Al Etabi helped me when I fainted after one of my lovely workouts. Well, he picked me up from the floor – literally. Samuel Gyasi, Junior Telfer and Ellie Wrightson massively support me on the gym floor. They are always there to offer help or advise or just share my happiness when I hit my new PB :).

1.5 years ago, I looked for a gym. And found……well……family. Thank you, guys. I love you all x x x.

Nuffield Paddington advertises itself as an "adults-only club" but potential patrons should be aware that children can access the pool each day for "family swim" or through swimming lessons. "Family swim" is 2-5 pm weekdays and 10 am to noon at weekends, according to front desk staff, though the times seem to change often and are not clearly posted in the club. During "family swim" at least one of the three lanes may be closed to lane swimmers, causing potential congestion in the other lanes, especially if swimming lessons are also being held. If you want a quiet, off-peak swim you may want to consider a fitness chain that has both a main pool and a separate teaching/children's pool. Meanwhile, this club might more accurately describe itself as an "adults-only GYM" or remove the misleading "adults only" reference from its website.

Check you’re direct debits people. They been overcharging me for years!

Trying to sort it out with the finance and admin guys, still nothing. Also complained to head office. It’s not just me either, there’s a few affected.

Worst ever gym , scam , Zero customer service , cold , terrible in terms of respecting members, just interested in adding members but NO care!!!!

User

Worst customer experience I have ever had. Seems like the manager 'Travis' doesn't care if any customers visit the centre or not. If they complain he gets rude to them instead of calming them or apologising for inconvenience. He completely ignores what customer is saying and keeps doing what he wants to. He takes too long to process any request as if he doesn't know how the system works. I was asked same question 6 times today 'if I have visited the centre before' I had already given my name and they could see me in the system and my record. I wanted to book 30 mins sessions as physio asked me to. He suggested 45 minutes session, when I said physio said 30 mins, he told me not to argue with him, he knows what he is doing. This is the second time I have experienced the same behaviour. I went to book few physio sessions, because he was so rude I had to come back without making the booking. On telling him that I am a customer and expect a better customer service he raised his voice. Seeing that I am upset he hushed me indicating I don't care go to hell and leave. Customers expect better service and I do not wish to visit the centre again where customers are not valued.

There are better Nuffield gyms not too far away. I have newer and better equipment in my garage.

User

The staff and gym are great. Its the new password system for getting into classes. I've been a member for around 10 years and I have had very great difficulty getting a username and password for the website. I've now been on hold for over 15 minutes with the customer support line. Very very frustrating ...

User

Really no respect for their members. All this company can do is charge people,no thought is given ever about the state of the equipment :everything should be pristine and working...So many things could be said about their advertising campaigns and the service they actually deliver.Their luck is probably the location.

User

Poor complaint management. Extremely poor, forcing people to leave 15 minutes before closing. Signage states open till 10, far from the truth. Took them four days to get back to my initial complaint. Shocking

User

I’m embarrassed to say I’ve been at this gym for the past 4 years - there was an issue with the roll over of my membership so I called to ask for assistance - the person on the phone didn’t care and just lazily told me to email the manager. I asked for the manager to call me a number of times but Lee never bothered.

There are also countless of times that I’ve gone to the gym and there have been no towels. Pool breaks down all the time. Air con never seems to work. Classes are over squished and customer service is terrible!

When Nuffield never bothered to respond to any of my calls about renewing my membership, it was the kick I needed to finally switch to Virgin. Best decision I ever made!

User

I would give no stars. Admittedly I haven't used this gym but someone took delivery of flowers that were accidentally delivered to them instead of number 3 Sheldon Square. Now they have gone missing and the person I spoke to on the phone really didn't care one bit. Not sure how that fits in the spirit of wellbeing and good service!!!

User

I have been stolen a watch from the locker. The locker was forced and i have reported to the police who is working to find out who the thief is. The gym does not have any insurance for broken lockers. It is not a cheap gym... this things should not happen
