Thursday Night Live - Musique Chienne at Number 90 Thursday 6th September 2018 8 PM - 11 PM
____________
... Number 90 announces a brand new series of events - Thursday Night Live. The series of events launches on Thursday 6th September with the compelling Sarah-Louise Barbett aka Musique Chienne.
____________
Musique Chienne is a full-time artist, a diverter, thinking head, free thinker, walker and solitary dreamer, a woman without collar or leash who produces a dancing and energising music that is pop, electronic and compelling.
Coming from a musical niche which is still fresh and unexplored, Sarah-Louise Barbett aka MUSIQUE CHIENNE returns with “La Maison de Billy”, an introspective tale about the perplex and romantic universe of a dog named Billy.
"La Maison de Billy" combines Sarah-Louise Barbett’s love of the canine race and her playing of the vibraphone. An album that is both direct and complex, built on synthetic sound, with woody acoustics, somewhere between electronic dance-floor, naive surrealist song and classical percussion.
Listen to the album 'La Maison de Billy' on Soundcloud. Happy techno for happy ears and happy dance

The chicken burger and the halloumi fries are insane. Possibly the best burger I had. EVER.
Recently moved to the area, walk past it to work and decided to have a gander on an evening off.
Lovely warm welcome from the bar girl followed by some decent food and a chilled environment.
Seems like I've found my new local
Great atmosphere and music. Affordable drinks. Art on the walls and big comfy leather couches to chill on.
Brilliant bar and good location....food was excellent and staff very friendly ....there was an amazing DJ the night I was there....Sartorial Misoul ...fantastic music...had a good night
Beautiful Sunday lunch, one happy 5 year old loving her giant Yorkshire pudding and then ice cream
Staff all lovely
We will be back
Awesome venue, really good vibes and plenty of space to chill, perform, eat and party! I run an interactive walkabout entertainment troupe, 'The Soapbox Circus', and we had an amazing time performing in the venue as part of their 4th birthday celebrations. We loved the space and got to try the amazing food too! The staff and management really looked after us, highly recommended!
The food is amazing, very good atmosphere. Just watch out how much they’re charging you, they just make the price up.
Good food but horrible service.
chilled place by the canal to visit on sunny days
We visited this bar the day the Rolling Stones were playing at the Olympic Park Stratford.
We arrived around 2:30pm and the bar area was empty. There was however around 15-20 people taking up various tables on the canal side terrace.
Despite this relatively small band of customers, it took a good 15 minutes to get served by a solitary barman who was far more preoccupied with getting drinks for the waitresses serving customers on the terrace, than dealing with we the customers at the bar. As time went on the bar got very busy and the service got worse.
Regardless of the poor service, the staff were lovely and we spent a pleasant afternoon having lunch and enjoying a top selection of draft beers.
My gripe with this establishment isn’t the horrendously slow service, there was only one barman and two waitresses serving for most of the day. It is the disgraceful planning on the part of the management of this place. I mean who expects to be busy on a day when the Rolling Stones are playing ten minutes walk from your bar?
They then exacerbated their poor judgement on staffing levels by closing far earlier than the advertised time. When we left the bar we were told that it shut at 12:00am, so after the gig we marched back and got there at 10:45. The doorman said they would be closing at 11:30, which didn’t seem unreasonable under the circumstances, and we headed to the bar. Only to be told that at the last minute they had decided to close early, even the dude with the various perfumes in the gents thought they were open until midnight.
So despite the fact that earlier we had spent a fortune drinking and eating in this bar, had put up with appalling service all day and had been assured the bar was open until midnight, we were refused even one drink. They wouldn’t even let us have a beer while we organised taxis home.
Consequently we will never return to this bar again. Lovely, but inexperienced staff, the management however are absolutely clueless. We left with the distinct feeling that someone was saying to us, “we’ve had your money, now *#*# off!”
Dreadful, and an experience I would never want to repeat.
