Wow!! Cameron C served us this evening and gave us the BEST customer service ever. He was so positive, gave great advice and reminded us of good deals. We were so pleased with the way he served us, what a great guy. Really reminded us of how wonderful the odeon is!

Went to see Fifty Shades Freed with my friend Lucy and loved it! Also love the mix and match pop corn, with the chocolate mixed in

It was nice but I got backache the seats was not very Coffey if you suffer with back pain. Other then that its nice lovely picture and the surround sounding. And the staff are very polite and obliging.

Went there last night I knew free wristbands were available for each ticket because I have the app but the girl giving them out wasn't very keen to give them out I had to ask because she didn't offer me one even though we was entitled to three also whilst waiting to buy food and drink it seemed to take a long time to get served improvements needed

Took my grandchildren to see Jumanji yesterday. I felt very cold sitting on there and ended up putting my coat on which was uncomfortable as being bulky. Also the sound was far too load I couldn't hear properly as it sounded distorted. Sat with my fingers in my ears during most of the performance

The staff are lovely, but the price u pay which is through the roof,in my opinion, does not compensate for poor hygein, they need to refit the whole place and give it a major over haul, also should bring the prices down a bit, £12.50 for an adult it's ridiculous.

We bought Premium seats which were ok but not worth the extra cost. We were in Screen 6 and it was boiling hot for the first 1.5 hours (we watched an NT Live Performance) and bearable after the interval, they had adjusted the temperature somewhat. I hadn’t been to the Odeon for years and must say I prefer our local Cineworld much more.

Too much staff chat in Costa with their mates, whilst people waiting to be served. Had to tell 4 girls to shut the fuck up as they talked and played on phones for 5 whole minutes non-stop as a group from the start of the film. Bitches got the message. Tbf probably my worst experience at Odeon but it’s usyally good except Costs queues.

Terrible time booking tickets. There web site kept giving server errors then crashed on payment page, then it said my seats were now sold out then it said my meerkat code already used. Tried to phone to get a recorded message saying they don't take calls. Went to odeon Colchester who said web site been doing that for days. Tbh the lad was very helpful, made sure my Web attempts hadn't gone through, my original seats not sold and my meerkat code not used. Tickets cheaper buying in store so technically a win. As per previous comments the toilets stink. Reception area left to rot after closing the box office.

I went to see ‘A quiet place’ yesterday & it was a great film! However the state of the cinema was awful. Food all over the floor, it was just dirty & untidy. Went to use the bathroom & it was filthy! Toilet paper everywhere, unclean & just not very nice to use at all. Tickets are expensive at the Odeon, so you would have thought they would try & make the experience better & tidy up! It was a shame really :(

Film was good but service was terrible , we waited 15 mins for them to find a few people who had pre paid their 3 D glasses !!! Before being told I don't think we have any left ! The seats in screen 4 had not been cleaned. We booked premiere seats and they still had popcorn on from the previous screening. We had to clean them ourselves.... overall facilities very poor with the disabled WC not having a toilet paper and was very dirty! Queues very large and very dirty all around from a busy day !

Film cancelled after sitting in the screen for 45mins, this was one of only two showings being offered for this film.

Refunded ticket, gave us free tickets for any other show - however, this is meaningless to me because my group are unable to attend the other showing due to the time of the screening. So I am now forced to wait until the DVD release and will never be able to see it in a cinema with my friends.

Definitely be using the local Everyman over Odeon now.

Booked the day off of work today to see the 11am preview showing of Ferdinand for my brother's birthday. We purchased our family bundle of food and drinks and ended up getting to our seats 15mins before our film was due to start. We were sitting there waiting and waiting until 11:20 when a member of staff came and informed us that there were technical difficulties and the manager was going to try to skip the adverts and sort the film out and they were going to turn the heating on because it was freezing. By this time we had already finished our popcorn (two children's size and one regular). Waited a further 10mins until they finally told us that we could either wait for the next showing (couldn't guarantee that the film would work for next showing) or we could get a refund and tickets to use another time. Tried to book Ferdinand for next sunday due to it being the next day that we are all off together and couldn't because its too far ahead. The saddest part was my brother's disappointed face at the news that he wasn't going to get his birthday treat 😞 (two stars because the popcorn was great!)

Would have been better if staff had noticed the group of teenagers who had sneaked in where also pissed up maybe then the people who actually paid to be there would have been able to enjoy the film

Went to watch the Pokemon film there was only 2 showings for this film one on Sunday and one on Monday. Went to the Sunday one by booking work off, waited 20 mins after the time of the film was supposed to start to then be told they were having technical difficulties and to all go and grab some free food. Whilst waiting for food we were then all told (after an hour of waiting) that the problem was too difficult to fix and that the film has been cancelled. I could have watched this in braintree or clacton so very disappointed. Cannot get work off again on Monday, wasted my time! We did get refunded & free tickets but they have to understand Pokemon is huge and people will be so upset over this. I would have waited longer to watch it, terrible, they should provide another viewing other than just the Monday!

Went to see two movies - titles unimportant.

First visit: booked a group of four seats. One seat was covered in chocolate and I obviously didn’t want to sit in that. Spoke to the manager, which wasn’t the greatest conversation in the world. He told me he would check where else I could sit, did not think that, as I had booked four seats together, I might actually want to be seated with this group. No offer of compensation for the inconvenience, no offer to get the seat cleaned and no offer to relocate the entire group. Not a helpful exchange at all.

Second visit: this was a long movie. Firstly the seat had popcorn stuck to it and rubbish shoved into the back of the seat. I knew it was pointless to complain from the previous visit and issue. As I said it was a long movie - for some strange reason the A/C was switched off. This meant that the full cinema got too hot to sit comfortably during the movie. Several people left including some of my group due to feeling ill due to the heat. Same story of talking but not being heard by management, no reason given to explain extreme temperatures.

I’m beginning to think this cinema is not for me as a “paying” customer who just wants not to be inconvenienced after paying to watch a movie.

We saw a Sunday morning showing of Duck Duck Goose. The speed of service waiting for drinks/snacks was ridiculous, it was clear that the area was not set up for the day and cleaning up and preparation was taking place instead of serving customers and at one point 3 staff were dealing with serving 1 hotdog! And the cinema itself was dirty and needed a drastic clean.

User

The staff are lovely, but the whole place is filthy! Popcorn etc all over the floors and the toilets are a mess. Apart from being dirty, they just need a complete refurb. This is in no way the staffs fault, as they are clearly understaffed and over worked, but it is super frustrating to pay a lot of money for a cinema ticket, when the whole place is a mess. In some screen rooms, the seats are either ripped, or broken, and the screen in screen room 6 is terrible! It is getting to the point that I will forgo my odeon rewards card and pay to travel to the Everyman cinema in Chelmsford, as the ticket prices are similar, but the place is clean and tidy and the seats are way more comfortable. Sort it out Odeon!

User

I went to see the Greatest Showman in screen 3. The seats were all torn. Some of the lights were left on so it was not as dark as it should be and people kept on getting up and were a distraction because of the lights situation.

There was no one around to supervise . The seats were uncomfortable too.

Considering the cost of a ticket I felt it was a very poor experience.

I will also say that the last time I visited I had to request the air conditioning to be switched on !

Needs a lot of improvements before I go back again.
