This has to be one of the best Japanese food I have tried. The sushi is presented very well, and tastes great - the tuna almost melts in your mouth. The tempura soft shell crab is a personal favorite. Oishii, is just perfect. The food is always spot on and well presented. I have eaten here a few times and have never had an issue. The staff here are fantastic. I would definitely recommend them if you love great food. We didn't know you are no longer Byo, but never mind because your Riesling wine was a highlight.

What an amazing new restaurant. Excellent staff and delicious food that is beautifully presented. My kids (5&7) cleared their plates and asked for more. We will definitely be back to sample more from the menu.

What a great addition to Hertford and the food is amazing, I have eaten here twice already and have thoroughly enjoyed both times. The service is great as well with friendly and helpful staff I will be eating here regularly thatŌĆÖs for sure!

We are so delighted to have finally found a decent Japanese restaurant in Hertford. The fish was so fresh the sashimi melts in your mouth. There was a good variety of choices from the menu both from the cold and hot dishes and the servings were generous. The staff was friendly and attentive and the owner Elle even came to our table with a surprise birthday dessert for my husband who was celebrating his birthday. The overall experience was really good and we'll definitely come back for more.

The food is amazing and very high quality

The first night open and I loved it , they serve soft drinks and delicious green tea but you can bring your own wine or beer for a corkage charge . Very nice ambiance . This is definitely worth a visit , lots of choice on menu from sashimi /sushi / Katsu curry and mixed plates .

The food here is wonderful! Unusual place, not a great deal of atmosphere, but probably more on a weekend, as we went on a Monday evening. Would highly recommend!

Such a lovely little area with a lovely friendly appeal. Food was out of this world delicious and although a tad on the more expensive side was worth every penny. I do like to see a couple of set menu options but that's just personal preference. Looking forward to our next visit. Also on the up side they to take away!

Oishii has such a lovely feel. The decor is subtle but really effective. It's busy every time I walk past and once you've tried the food you understand why. It's gorgeous. Fresh, tasty and so enjoyable, it's the nicest sushi and sashimi I've had in a long time.

It's BYO (everyone I know loves this) and it's cash only - neither of these things bother me in the slightest. I think maybe the waitresses are still learning the ropes but they are so sweet and welcoming it kind of adds to the charm of the place. It's nice to see Elle in the restaurant as she is such a lovely lady and I really hope it does well for her and stays as popular as it is now. I know I'll be a regular

Loved it! The food is amazing and served in such a presentable manor. The decour is traditional and the restaurant was is clean. The service is also great - our waitress greeted us strait away and was attentive and polite throughout.

It is fantastic to have an independent London quality Japanese restaurant on our doorstep in Hertford. The quality and freshness of the dishes is top notch. There is enough variety without being overwhelming, the pictures in the menu are a nice touch. The new drinks menu provides a range for every palate, our favourites are the new saki options, again a delightful surprise to be able to enjoy this level of drink on our doorstep. Add to that the friendly service, we will be back again soon.

I've been waiting for a Japanese to open in Hertford. It did not disappoint. Very fresh and very tasty. Had lots of dishes and loved them all. New favourite restaurant in town.

I have been there twice since they opened and the food was just amazing, relaxed atmosphere, top quality food, BYO wine - what's not to like! The Katsu curry was delicious last night - I'll be back!

Food was absolutely delicious. Only have "Yo Sushi" to compare to and this was lovely.

Sushi was amazing.

Portion sizes are good, we had a main course of the teriyaki chicken with rice which comes in a lidded container. After all the sushi this was a perfect amount.

It's definitely not the cheapest restaurant though. But you do get great quality, very tasty food. It was somewhere we had intended to try for ages. We're glad we did!

Been to the restaurant to eat twice - lovely sushi, relaxed pleasant environment. Just ordered and collected takeaway, we were really impressed. No 4. on the menu - Ika No Piri Kara-age was amazing! We would highly recommend - Hertford has needed a Japanese restaurant for so long - and they do take out!!! ’┐Į

Amazing, friendly place to have amazing food. Just been in tonight. Staff friendly and very helpful with 2 teenager children explaining what the food was. We will be back as reasonably priced. Fantastic presentation. We couldnt stop looking as other peoples food for next time meal. Thank you for a wonderful family birthday meal. Xxxx

Amazing food and reasonably priced. Only gripe was that it was really cold in there. Lovely owner highly recommend. Will definitely go back. The chicken dumplings were to die for .

Disappointing that we believed you could bring your own alcohol and then to be told it changed last week. Bag of Moët and other lovely champagne wasted! Then to order a gin and tonic and get it in a massive diluted glass... as for a second tot of gin and have it remade in a whiskey size glass with flat tonic!! Really!!! Food was good but booze not!!
