Tried here with some friends of a Friday evening. We decided to sit outside as I love to soak up the atmosphere on Broadway market, we were delighted when they waitress came and brought us out blankets to keep us cosy!

Food was delicious, very reasonable pricing and that green tea ice cream...

Definitely the nest sushi and ramen I've had in East London!

Super lovely place, super tasty food. Right choice if you live Japanese and asian food.

The menu is varied and inspiring.

All produce are really fresh, great wine list, fantastic service and relaxing music.

Really nice place thoroughly enjoyed the squid starter, the salmon salad was very tasty and healthy very enjoyable plus our little daughter liked the pistachio ice cream, good service with friendly polite staff, definitely recommend

Really enjoyed our meal here! Very relaxed vibe here with plenty to choose from on the menu but not too overwhelming! Prices were reasonable. We had the chicken katsu, yaki soba noodles , sashimi and a few different rolls and all were great. Will be planning our next visit very soon!

Okko is amazing! I frequently eat here and I am consistently impressed by the quality and creativity of the food. Last night, I had a group dinner for 16 people at Okko. There was no requirement for a set menu, which was great. The staff managed our group so well, accommodating differing dietary requirements and splitting the bill many times, all with great ease. A really fun and relaxing place to eat.

I have eaten here with friends a few times and it has always been absolutely fantastic! The friendly waitress who normally serves us always can recommend something nice. In particular the fresh gyoza (?!) are delicious! I also tried black sesame ice cream for the first time here - it is the best ice cream flavour ever!! The mochis are also a wonderful sweet finish to your meal. I have always eaten on the outside benches and it's superb location right in the middle of Broadway Market means you can watch the world and his wife go by.



Now we are heading into winter I will be venturing inside the restaurant - which, although quite small, does not feel cramped at all and has a good atmosphere - not too loud or too quiet either which is sometimes a problem in places of this size.

Quality and character of the dishes were excellent - everything being a bit different to what Ive has elsewhere, and better for it. Stand outs for me: the miso soup and the tempura prawns, and I never thought I could enjoy tofu that much

This is the most amazing place to eat sushi in East London! Great atmosphere, good food and great crowd!

The waitress, Lenka, was absolutely delightful. My friend was gluten intolerant and she went out of their way to accommodate. The owner was less friendly and rather dismissive of his staff. None the less, a great evening and some great food.

If you came here to imagine "the authentic" Japanese, here may not for you, but their fusion dish is amazing, especially if you heard non-Japanese chef is cooking, hats off!(I'm not being racist, I'm saying coz im Japanese!!!) I liked macarel salad(the barnacle of vinegar is just perfect!!) and their fusion Shiitake ramen. Definitely visit again:)

The most disappointing sashimi I have ever had � Really had been looking forward to going here but waste left wishing I hadn't. The sashimi was in too big pieces and not that right cuts of the fish, had strings of fat and bones in.

Hands up, I'm Japanese food snob so if you are not you may not care about this review. But if you are going to mess with the classics then it better be good. Red cabbage with a supermarket-style breaded cutlet that is called 'Katsu' is a problem. Yakisoba tastes more like Chinese takeaway chow mein. Pity because this street is crying out for a decent Japanese. The miso soup was excellent and the California roll was decent. Some highlights but mostly very disappointing. (I'm very surprised at the 26 five star reviews - maybe I know nothing!)

awful service - our food came at different times, some dishes and drinks were not brought at all. no explanation or apology. tiny portions. 30-40% more expensive than what it should be. shame - it looks like it could be really nice.

Went here last Wednesday (07.02) and was pretty shoddy by all accounts.



First waitress completely forgot we were there and didn't take our order. Then what seemed to be the manager (older aussie guy) took our order and but forgot to bring our water and instead sat at the table next to us and start having a loud chat with his best mate.



When we asked another staff member for the missing water he put a menu to his face and whispered to his mate that 'You're never gonna get good tips by serving tap water' and thought we didn't hear but we were right next to him.



He then continued to sit and chat loudly next to us for the duration of our meal and then tried to clear our table abruptly before we were finished with our food.



Poor showing by all accounts.

Ordered food to take away, sat for 25 minutes, When I asked if it would take much longer, it turns out the food hand not been ordered.
