For one week each August the usually tranquil town of Fowey attracts thousands of visitors who flock there for the Fowey Royal Regatta, one of Britain’s premier sailing events. It is also a fun-filled week for all the family – sailors and landlubbers alike.
Who's getting down to this then?

User

17th - 19th August.
Expect almost one hundred full size and miniature steam engines from all over the country. There are stunning showmen’s engines with their gleaming twisted brass, road rollers, ploughing engines, heavy haulage road locomotives and agricultural traction engines.

User

Falmouth Week has grown into the largest sailing regatta in the south west with more than 450 yachts racing over eight days along with a lively programme of shore side events.

BOCONNOC STEAM FAIR

FANCY A STROLL?
A long loop with an optional shortcut (when the MoD practice range is not in use 😬), this walk takes in the best of Cornwall's 'forgotten corner'. Coming inland from the South West Coast Path the footpath travels high above Whitsand Bay and along ancient routes and medieval green lanes through woodland and heathland, past wetlands and a natural reservoir full of wildlife.

We've recently returned from a 4 night stay for a mini moon and we loved it! The Spice Barn cottage was modern but comfortable and perfect for 2, we had everything we needed and the welcome hamper was a really lovely touch, as was the doggy welcome pack - Max loved the little treats! Loved how dog friendly this place was, the enclosed area was good for letting our cocker Max off to have a run around and the woodland walk was enjoyable too with a beautiful seating area at the river. We didn't use the doggy bath but we absolutely love that there is one so if you had a muddy pup you can wash them off. The two ladies who run the cottages were really friendly and welcoming! It is very rural but we loved that and it was no problem getting to town, the pub or the local shop, by the second day we had our bearings and had no difficulty getting out and about! We loved it and will recommend and definately return! Thank you for a lovely stay!

We stayed in the old farm house back in April of this year. Our most memorable holiday in Cornwall to date. Our accommodation was amazing, with so much character, mixed with just the right mix of mod cons you would need. Breathtaking views and beautiful walks are on your door step. The owners and staff were so friendly and accommodating! "Best holiday ever" was the description from our 4 children. We will definitely be back!

User

We stayed in the Honey Pot for 4 nights in October. Very impressed with the cottage and the grounds the cottages are in. Lovely views from the top of the hill. Amazing dog run area where you can let your dog off the lead with no concerns they will run off. The forest walk was beautiful. Also very close to places to visit such as Looe and Fowey. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

We leave tomorrow and we don't want to!! It's beautiful! The walks in the ancient woodland, hot tub just across the path have been amazing. The accommodation is fabulous! Wood fire burner is fab. You wouldn't want for more, it's a totally perfect luxurious cottage! in a peaceful setting. Our dogs have loved the walks and the fenced off areas are great! There's even a dog wash! Plus dog accessories, bowl blanket and towel etc! Plus some much needed treats! We will definitely be coming back. 10/10 perfect break! Absolutely loved it X

We have stayed in BlackBerry Barn, Rainbow Cottage and Spice Barn. Great amenities for the dogs and owners! Would recommend without a doubt.

User

There is absolutely nothing we can fault in this place. Dog friendly cottage with a great welcome pack and also dog tags to ensure dogs were safe. The information pack has all the information we needed and some. Visited all of them. Dog exercising area is great and hence off for security of the dogs. The entire accommodation, we are staying in Honey Pot, and all the finishing is top notch. Kitchen has everything we needed and a lot more. Furthermore there was a baby gate on the bottom of the stairs to make sure our loved once are not intrusive, which we welcomed as we don't allow our dogs into our bedroom, so they felt like home. If we find any faults we will let you know.

User

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Cottages were very well equipped and extremely comfortable. Can not recommend this place enough felt at home. Lovely touches like a welcome pack for you and the dog loved every minute thank you for making our new year special.
