Bass guitar not sitting right in the mix? No problemmo... reamp’d the DI through the Ampeg SVT Classic, Royer R121 on the cab, patched into the API 550b to shave off some unwanted frequencies then lastly into the Acme Audio Manufacturing Co. Opticom XLA-500. Didn’t need to do any further processing in the DAW. It just locked in and worked. 🔒🎚

We’re totally converted to analogue summing and going out of the box as much as we can over here. The Solid State Logic (SSL) Matrix 2 has opened up whole new worlds for us and in ways that are easier to achieve than we could have ever imagined.

Brand new computer for a brand new studio ...any guesses on what we went for? 👀

Another new addition to our work-in-progress Studio 2. The awesome Acme Audio Manufacturing Co. Opticom XLA-500. A versatile little compressor that can behave much like an LA-2A. Tasty!

🚨 New gear! 🚨 We’ve added a super tasty API 2500 to our new Studio 2 outboard lineup. A classic compressor which we’ll mostly be using for drum bus compression. We’ve been using the Waves API2500 plugin for a number of years so it’s nice to finally get our hands on the real thing!👌Big thanks again to KMR Audio for sorting us out! 😍
