The Drawing Room in the Oxford and Cambridge Club provides a space for Members and guests to relax in a peaceful environment surrounded by light and intricate interiors.

The Oxford and Cambridge Club is the result of a number of amalgamations, most recently between the United University Club of 1821 and the Oxford and Cambridge University Club, which was established nine years later.
Members, both men and women, are drawn exclusively from the alumni and senior staff of both universities. Distinguished former members include Palmerston, Canning, Melbourne and Macmillan, the Duke of Wellington, William Thackeray and TS Eliot.
The Club house was... designed by Sir Robert Smirke, the architect of the British Museum, and was completed in 1838. An important example of the fashionable Greek Revival style, the façade conceals a magnificent yet elegantly understated neoclassical interior.
Unlike a number of other notable buildings on this part of the Crown Estate, the Club survived the war largely undamaged (a parachute mine landed in the kitchen but failed to detonate). Since then extensions and discreet improvements have been made to ensure it continues to meet its members’ needs, but always in keeping with the traditional atmosphere and ambience of this exceptional West End landmark.

Oil on canvas. Honorary member of the Oxford and Cambridge Club (1953-present).
... Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, is one of the Club’s most distinguished members. Until recently Prince Philip was Chancellor of Cambridge University (1977-2011) and the Club’s portrait by Aubrey Davidson-Houston depicts him in his Chancellor’s robes. This portrait was unveiled at the Club by Harold Macmillan in October 1979.

Much valued by Members, and one of the finest of its kind in London, the Oxford and Cambridge Club Library comprises of over 20,000 volumes and occupies three spacious and beautifully appointed rooms.

With its own bistro-style menu, the Gallery Bar is less formal than the Club's main restaurant. Here, Members and guests can enjoy hot and cold food such as pizza, pasta, burgers and salads as well as a selection of wines, cocktails and other drinks.

The Oxford and Cambridge Club offers over 40 well-equipped bedrooms, many of which will be undergoing a refurbishment process in the near future to meet the standards of the newly decorated bedrooms.

OXFORD AND CAMBRIDGE CLUB ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The Club held its Forty-Fifth Annual General Meeting this evening following which Mrs Joanna Tudor-Blakeway was elected Chairman of the Club. As such she succeeds Mr David Blair and becomes the first woman to hold the post. Mr Christopher Sayer was elected Vice-Chairman.

... Following the First World War, Clement Richard Attlee focused on local politics and became mayor of Stepney in 1919. He became MP for Limehouse in 1922 and served as Labour Party Leader from 1935-55. He was Deputy Prime Minister under Winston Churchill in the wartime coalition government and led the Labour Party to a landslide election victory in 1945.

The Library Terrace, a perfect area for Members and guests to relax in the warm weather this summer.

The Blomfield Room is the second dining room at the Club, offering a relaxed lunch service in a bright and colourful setting.

The Oxford and Cambridge Club’s Bar team are always looking for new and creative cocktails for Members and guests to enjoy at the Club.

The Oxford and Cambridge Club will be holding a drinks and canapés reception at the University of Cambridge next week.
The Club extends an invitation to current students and alumni of the University to join the reception on Thursday 11 May in the Combination Room, Trinity Lane, Cambridge CB2 1TS. The reception will begin at 6pm and finish at 8pm.
During the reception there will be Oxford and Cambridge Club staff available to answer any questions you may have about Membership ...of the Club.
A similar reception will be hosted at Oxford later this month and students will be emailed directly about this event.

St George’s Day – Sunday 23 April
The Oxford and Cambridge Club is flying the St George’s Cross outside of the Club house today in preparation for St George’s Day this Sunday 23 April and the annual dinner at the Club today to mark the occasion.

... In a political career that spanned more than 40 years, Roy Harris Jenkins was Labour Home Secretary twice, Chancellor of the Exchequer and President of the European Commission. David Poole’s portrait, commissioned by the Club in 1989, shows Jenkins as Chancellor of Oxford.

Review of Reciprocal Club in Honolulu Hawaii. This is a magnificent home away from home. Set in the heart of the Downtown Financial District is an oasis and former royal residence and sacred place of birth of Hawaiian royalty.

It was a great pleasure for me to visit our partner club (I'm member of the ,Übersee-Club' in Hamburg/Germany) in London.

The ,Oxford and Cambridge Club', legendary and best placed in

I went to an open evening, drinks reception, it was amazing, like a palace inside, I can't wait to join once I graduate. I would thoroughly recommend it!

I visited this place for the first time. This place is posh and private. The staff were very professional and gentle.

I love it there it is beautiful place and they know how to look after you xxxx

Grand and Opulent, oozing with history and a great place to take clients to impress them and close deals. However, I wish they would level the sloping Snooker table.

Beautiful club and great staff. Had many enjoyable visits here - love the new bar!

Amazing place. Just beautiful grand and homely all at the same time.

A very decent private club for Oxbridge alumni. Conveniently located in Pall Mall which is a stone's throw to St James Park.

Classic London Club. Strict rules. I had a small carrier bag with a couple of books in it. Couldn't take it into lunch. So took books out and put bag in my pocket. That was OK. No photos allowed anywhere in the Club so went outside! This is not a complaint - just gives the flavour of the place😀

They fire workers without any conrete reason... they don't have any respect for their employees

Shame on yourself, you fired a waitress just because she took home her food! What do you think you people are? Hope your club goes bankrupt!

Regarding what happened to one of your employees, you should behave like the prestigious name you have.

I just read an article about this club fireing an employee after 3 years because she was taking her lunch home, and only because they didn't give her a proper lunch break. This is really disgraceful.

I can't believe that you are allowed to fire an employee for having taken home her lunch she didn't have time to eat whilst WORKING FOR YOUR COMPANY! What a disgrace and nobody should visit this establishment anymore!
