By taking this information into account, we can make sure that we not only target your symptoms but also treat the cause.

Our principal osteopath is Simon Thurgood who has 20 years of experience in osteopathy and related fields. His talent is to fuse this vast experience with the contrasting styles of bodywork that he has encountered, in order to find exactly the right treatment for each person.

Whilst Simon is renowned for his expertise in sports injuries, he is equally as competent with all muscular and joint problems.

Osteopathy itself is a painless, holistic therapy and can treat many different problems within the body. Indeed it often resolves problems that are not seen on x-rays or MRI scans and not cured by medication from your doctor. Within our relaxed and friendly environment, you can be sure that you will feel completely comfortable when you come for your treatment.


Once you have been treated by the osteopath, you will inevitably have more of an awareness of what’s happening within your body and are less likely to ignore the signs that it is giving you in future.

Remember the sooner you take corrective action, the greater your chance of recovery, not to mention that you will experience less pain! At the practice we also offer other treatments, such as acupuncture, ultrasound, interferential therapy and massage, which may complement your treatment.

You may come to us through a referral from your GP or directly to us. We are registered to treat patients with all the major health insurance companies (Bupa, Axa PPP, Simply Health, Standard Life, Pru Health, Norwich Union etc. )
