We're having a tasting on Wednesday 5th of December so you can try a perfect selection of Christmas Day wines! There is always so much to think about and prepare over the festive season that its easy to overlook things. Well we want to take the hassle out of selecting one of the more fundamental aspects of your Christmas, the wine!

Send forth your ravens and tell your friends that on Tuesday 20th November we will be hosting an epic tasting of our new Rhone wines.
Of course winter is also on the horizon so we thought it was time that we got a great new range of warmers for you to enjoy on those cosy evenings by the fire, or of course in our cosy back bar!

Help us celebrate this Festival tradition with brunch, wine roulette and live music... from the 15th to 18th of November.
Enjoy a slice of this classic French festival held on the third Thursday in November across France, with the release of Beaujolais Nouveau at 12.01 am, just weeks after the wine’s grapes have been harvested. Come and join us for our mini festival:
... Thursday 15th of November Wine Roulette, Raclette and Live Music A more interactive tasting, this is your chance to put your taste buds to the test! Can you tell your reds from your whites? Can you spot the beaujolais? Put your chips where your mouth is and see! With four rounds, all blind tasted, you will be guessing:
Round one: Can you tell the difference between a red, a white and a rose if you can’t see the colour and they are all chilled? More difficult than you think!
Round two: Guess the Gamay. You will try three wines but can you find the Beaujolais nouveau?
Round three: You will try three wines, can you find the Beaujolais Villages?
Round four: You will try three Beaujolais Cru, can you name them?
A bottle of Beaujolais nouveau will be awarded to the player who has the most chips at the end!

South America's Treasure Trove

With a wine making history dating back to the mid 1500s, South America’s wine making is deep rooted. It has an extreme climate too, being home to the world's longest mountain range (the Andes), the largest river by volume (the Amazon), the highest waterfall (Angel Falls) and the driest place on Earth (the Atacama desert in Chile); making it... home to an extraordinarily diverse range of wines. Starting our journey in Brazil, and then travelling down through Chile and Argentina, we will experience the beautiful and unique wines this continent has to offer.

Perfect Serve Gin Tasting with Portobello Road Gin
On Wednesday 7th November the amazing distillers Portobello Road will be here to chat gin and let you try some perfectly crafted serves...
Since we started stocking Portobello a few months ago it's become a firm favourite of our gin loving crowd. So we thought it was about time we brought them over for a tasting. They are an enthusiastic bunch where gin is concerned, so they will start with a bit of history behind the UK's fa...stest growing spirit. From its heritage, it's demise and back to the modern day explosion in craft distilling.
Of course you will be trying the gin itself, along with their brand new navy strength gin. They will then show you some perfect serves to give a new twist on the classic G&T. Essential knowledge to impress your friends when they are round for Christmas drinks.

New wines just arrived! Some awesome Rhône, including a delicious Crozes Hermitage, a 2010 Rioja Crianza, a German Riesling and many more! Perfect for sipping in the cosy bar!

This lovely neighboroud wine shop hosted our wedding breakfast. And what a job the team did did - a perfect balance of celebration and chilled fun. It couldn’t have been more perfect!



We worked with Eleanor to choose wines for the day and they were terrific and bang on what everyone wanted. Lots of comments on the Argentinian fizz we chose, which was a brill alternative to Champagne and really quite special.



We also worked with Ben on the food and it was delicious. Great quality, served perfectly and lots of full bellies.



And the service and organisation was the best. The day went without a hitch and that was down to the guys on hand at the shop. Thank you!



We loved every minute of it! Seriously, if you’re looking for somewhere special, but chilled, drop in and chat to these guys. I really can’t praise them enough!

The Fontodi wine tasting was excellent. A passionate Italian talking about his family vineyard, great food, engaging staff and, of course, the delectable wine. Truly, a treat!

Great Sunday Christmas drinks fondue and charcuterie/ cheese boards with my book Group today - my first visit - idea is that you get to try some fab wines with knowledgable staff - for not much more than the price of a ropey old pub Chardonnay per glass - I'll be back definitely !! Thanks
