**JOB VACANCIES**

User

Went to visit new soft play centre, in its first week it is obviously very busy but we were really impressed. We have an 18month old and the best thing for us was that there was a member of staff checking the toddler area constantly and politely moving on any older children to the upper play areas. This never happens anywhere else we have been to soft play and is really important to give the smaller children an area to play too! Will definitely be back.

User

Nice clean play centre for kids, does say 4-12. But is section for younger kids. It's quite expensive but ok for a treat. Pity it doesn't have a more child friendly cafe as one in centre doesn't do kids meals an expensive. But you can take own food if needed. Has a great park on Brocks hill park just around corner.

User

My both girls loved the play area and funwall. Even though we knew its going to be chaotic and very busy as its 1st week of opening we managed to organised and get there 2 days back to back. My girls loved it and recommend this place over 360 play, go kids go, fun valley. Would definitely go again.

User

I really love going here to the gym and enjoy the classes. The only thing that lets this place down is the cleanliness. The floors in the studios are really dirty and still have bits of confetti left over from Christmas/new year parties. Since the soft play has opened the toilets aren’t great either. If they sorted this it would be 5stars for me definitely!

User

I love the place there at least 5 days a week. Just one problem with going in the evening in the changing rooms the two members staff swear and are very rude to each. Why there are customers getting changed. This is an ongoing problem and to be honest I getting sick of hearing it from grown adult. I have already made one complaint I will make another if I have to and if it still carries on I be talking to head office

User

Second time I took my 2 children to the soft play , downside is the yellow vertical drop slide, looks very dangerous, and as of a matter of fact we found that out yesterday, I either think this needs to have an age restriction on or to go through further health and safety checks as it’s not safe! My little boy friction burnt all his face going down this slide. I asked for it to be reported in their accident book (to which it was jotted on a piece of paper) overall it’s a nice place but that slide does need looking at, this won’t be the last accident on it. So please please please be very wary of letting your children go down this slide.

User

I think this place is ok I just find the swimming changing room floor always dirty, no one ever wears the blue over shoes or just takes their shoes off so the floor gets filthy and what annoys me even more is the staff do nothing to enforce it! Really annoying and discusting.

User

Parklands.... the place where classes are put on in the small studio, allowing max. 25 people and the large fitness room remains empty. Classes are so rammed you cannot work out properly as no room, loads of people on the waiting list but who cares? if it wasn't for the instructors i doubt you'd have many members.

Come on Parklands start looking after your loyal members. Doesn't take much to work out utilisation of large room brings more money in!Safer with more room to workout to. How about also maintaining all that new gym equiptment, You have the opportunity to make it a great place. Lets make the people of Oadby & Wigston and all its visitors proud to be part of this leisure centre. come on Parklands START listening to your customers!

I think, the customer Service, (on/over the phone):

seems to be rather bad. My mum, phoned on my behalf re. 'the swimming Time-Table' (as the ON_Line Time-table 's rather confusing) and she didn't get a response-so therefore; going on what she said; the customer -Service 's poor!!!! Also too, T.B.H. (To be honest): I find, that: it's rather annoying that the time_Table for: "The member's of the public, to swim": 's rather -Complex, Confusing and there 's not enough time: for: people like me, to swim and get fit.

[I hope this makes -sense!?].

I do appreciate that the play area may be full to capacity at busier times but there seemed to be no effective booking system in place to manage demand. When we arrived around 1.45 we were told that there may be spaces on the 2 o clock session if we wanted to hang around. There was no waiting list so there was no way of knowing if we would stand a chance of getting in. We decided to wait a little while and then returned to the desk after 10mins to see if we may be able to get in. Only to find many people being turned away because the play area was full and there were 'too many people waiting'. But if you don't have a waiting list, how can you know how many people are waiting and how to prioritise admission?! No offer was made to book us onto the 3pm session although I doubt my children would have wanted to wait an hour to get in. Overall very disappointed with our experience today

User

Arrived at 1.40 today with a friend and 4 excited boys. We were told that the play area was full and we were welcome to wait in the cafe. We were informed that some people would possibly leave at 2pm and we could then pay to go in. We walked down to the play area and was greeted by a lovely lady who explained that there was no booking system in place and it was a bit ‘trial and error’ this week. We then saw some people leave so walked back to the main desk thinking we would be able to pay and go in. By this time there was a queue of people all being told it was full. We spoke to the girl on the main desk who advised that the 2pm session was full and they have stopped taking names for a waiting list as they were unsure how many people were waiting!! We were advised that we could hang around for a bit if we wanted to, but there was no guarantee of getting in. We left with 4 disappointed boys. Perhaps a booking system needs implementing ASAP to avoid this in future. Overall very disappointed with our experience today

Writing this review whilst waiting for someone to actually pick up the phone so I can cancel my son's swimming as he is ill. I have called several times over a 5 hr period today and had tried several times yesterday but they lack customer service skills badly. The phones are turned right down and you barely get two words out of them when they do answer. I pay for private 1-1 lessons they aren't cheap but this place is lacking alot. No update on my son's progression even though it has been asked for several times. I'm still on hold now that's another 30mins wasted of my time and there's never a manager to complain to either and your emails don't get replied to.

Parklands is rapidly going down hill! And has the most rubbish staff turn over! I am part of a club that runs at parklands and we provide our own equipment that is constantly thrown around and damaged due to careless behaviours of the staff! The equipment we own totals up to around £10,000 and is being wrecked!

We are constantly being messed around, double booked, being told the hall is fully booked yet walk in and it's empty

We asked asked for an ice pack the other week and no one knew where to find one

The majority of the staff are rude and disrespectful , there are 2/3 staff who actually are helpful!

We've had kids turn up to training and be told sorry there's no space for you even though we have a block booking for over 3 years!

We are getting so sick of it and being treated with very little customer care, hopefully we can find another place but in the mean time I hope the staff and parklands can be turned around

User

Paid for an hour of badminton but could only concentrate on playing for 45 minutes as at that point one of the footballers for the next session decided to walk up and down behind the court adjusting the curtain. He and a number of mates then started warming up at the side. This was then compounded when 5 minutes later 3 members of staff in bright yellow tops started wandering around the outside of the court "waiting" for us to finish. They seemed totally oblivious to our comments. What is wrong with waiting outside the sports hall door until the allotted time ends. If the staff cannot manage this then there is no chance of them being able to persuade other users but perhaps they could try - or at least put a polite notice on the door.

User

Oversubscribed, fully booked classes every evening even if you try and book a week ahead.

Be prepared to queue for all weight machines and treadmills. Think they should look into how many people they sign up to the ratio of classes. Seems like the gym recruitment base has doubled whilst class timetables have remained the same. With some classes being reduced to fit in a smaller studio to so the larger hall can accommodate weddings. There are some great empty virtual classes which are sometimes put on. Is this a community hall or gym I have joined for £38 a month?

User

Not usually one to leave bad reviews for businesses, but here goes...

. Behind the weight racks there’s dirt, tissues and bits of plastic that have been there for over for ever 10 weeks, I’ve said something about 4 times now, still not cleaned.

. Gents toilets have had shit on the walls for over 2 weeks, again not cleaned.

. Older lady with glasses on the front desk is the most condescending person I’ve ever met, extremely rude.

. People are using steroids in your gym (accept it) so have people put their needles in locked needle boxes instead of the regular bins. You guys have a children’s play area on site, these two things don’t mix!

. Most of the machines have the red faux leather cut to shreds by over use. When you use heavy weights it cuts into your skin! It draws blood even over trousers!

. Poorly repaired equipment. I’ve literally had things fall to pieces in my hands, almost had 80kg fall on my toes because of your poor repairs.

Guys, start properly cleaning your gym and maintaining the equipment properly! I’ve politely spoken to staff on multiple times about every issue and nothing has been done.

User

I knew it was as always going to be busy on opening week with it being half term & half price entry but it wasn’t that I am annoyed with. There is a limited information on the website, the dedicated telephone number for Playworld rings a few times then disconnects and the staff do not know what’s going on so overall it’s chaotic. We arrived today and were told we would have to wait for an hour as it was one in one out, there also didn’t appear to be any time limit for children which there really should be at peak times. My little girl was really disappointed that she wasn’t able to go in. I will try again as we live so close but will give it a wide berth for a few weeks & hope that management learn from their lack or organisation this week.

User

Dropped in after work to pick up a family leisure card... I'd had one before which cost £40 per year and gives discounts to the general fees... asked at the front desk... to be met with ' I don't know ' and ' we don't do them' and ' don't exist'... then sent through gate to see 'membership team' which comprised of 2 empty chairs at two empty desks

Finally someone. And and I went through the whole thing again and was again told this had never existed despite me show the old cards

Finally something clicked and all apparently became clear

I was sent back t other front desk which now had a queue of about ten people

I left

Please improve your desk staff and customer service... they come over as clueless

They seemed totally oblivious to our comments. What is wrong with waiting outside the sports hall door until the allotted time ends. If the staff cannot manage this then there is no chance of them being able to persuade other users but perhaps they could try - or at least put a polite notice on the door.
