Peacock Gym Description
Opened in 1978 Peacock Gym is considered one of London’s most famous and respected boxing gyms. Home to many a world class fighter and some of the top trainers in the country, you could not chose a better gym. Boxing is not just another sport here, it is at the very essence of the Peacock, with an ever increasing membership the gym has expanded to include many disciplines. Kick Boxing, Muay Thai, Karate, White Collar Boxing and Personal Training are taught to the highest standard, with many coaches boasting world records of their own. Peacock Gym is a place to learn and to thrive in the sport of your choice. It is the home of sport and friendship.

From Christian Thun on Thursday to Ovill McKenzie this evening. Yet another Peacock Gym fighter in the big time. McKenzie challenges Tony Conquest for the Commonwealth title at the headlining bout at the Copper Box. Another of our fighters Ahmet Patterson will be backstage with him and his corner will be Martin Bowers and Peter Stanley. I'll be ringside from 5pm reporting on all the fights for my site and will meet all the boys after the fight for pictures, quotes and hopefully a celebration! Let's go Ovill!! PROUDAS!
Our super heavyweight amateur boxer Christian Thun is one big dude. 6ft 8in. He competes in the London ABA semifinal this evening in Greenwich.
Frank Buglioni in Peacock Gym earlier. Even though it was a media workout and at half pace as he winds his camp down he looked wicked. Bradley Skeete also on good form - wants Arsenal to win FA Cup and Arsene Wenger to bow out on a good note. Ahmet Patterson has a fight later this month but looks ready to compete right now - his guns go boom boom. Erick Ochieng also in the gym which was good to see after going to hospital last week. Interestingly, of all the fighters, coaches and managers in the gym today, people were pretty mixed as to who will win the main event of the Las Vegas card - some Timothy Bradley, some Manny Pacquiao.

I've been training at the Peacock for just over 6 months now. As a newcomer to London and to boxing, I was made to feel so welcome. Only last night I was invited into the ring for the first time. Brilliant! Loved it. Aching today mind!! A great atmosphere. I'm over 50 but feel more like 30 (not today so much!). Well worth a visit. ��
I have trained with Oscar. The personal trainer, Oscar, is very supportive, patient, and approachable, yet professional and clearly an expert in his knowledge and skills. The best trainer ever.
Hard core gym for training great people! Best place too learn from the best in arm wrestling!
Great gymnastics good instructors plenty of various wieghts great boxing
Great gym absolutely buzzing
Great atmosphere and above the rest by a country mile in my opinion. Despite not actually training, was driving a friend in preparation for his fight, I still really enjoyed the experience. It's a "must go" for locals! Get amongst it!

Best gym in East London, been a member for 17 years and my kids grew up in the gym.
