🌾🌾GRASS SEEDS!🌾🌾
Meet Daisy the gorgeous 5 month old shih tzu puppy. Shortly after her walk Daisy begun to repeatedly sneeze, so her owners acted quickly and brought her in to see one of our vets. Due to the sudden onset and the discomfort Daisy was in it was clear that something was stuck in her nasal passage. Daisy was quickly admitted and given a light sedation and a HUGE grass seed was found lodged deep inside her nasal passage!
... This year we have a seen a huge amount of grass seeds (AKA foxtails) stuck in eyes, ears, noses, paws and all areas of the skin. If not found quickly they can imbed themselves and travel throughout the body, causing pain and discomfort!
It’s very important to inspect/ brush through your pets fur (not forgetting in between the toes) after every walk, particularly those with long fur as it tends to trap the seeds.
If you notice any sudden sneezing, head shaking, sore eyes or limping please do not hesitate to call your vet, as it may be a grass seed!

🌟Introducing the beautiful Bruno!🌟
Bruno is a beautiful 2 year old rescue Dalmatian who was fortunate enough to find his forever home Saturday gone, through the wonderful Dalmatian adoption society and rescue. But unfortunately the following day big bouncy Bruno had managed to wiggle out of his collar and head straight for the road where he was hit by a car. Bruno sustained a nasty fracture to his radius and ulna as well as minor scrapes and bruises. Surgery was carried out h...ere at Pet Vaccination Centre and a metal plate was put in place.
Throughout this traumatic time brave Bruno maintained a waggy tail and big smile, showing what a wonderful dog he is.
Bruno is recovering well from surgery and is now back at home with his loving family and brother Domino. We wish Bruno a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him grow stronger everyday!❤️🐶❤️

Meet the gorgeous Rosco. Rosco is a very handsome four month old mastiff x staffie puppy who was in this week for his flea and worming treatment. Prevention of parasites in your pets is very important to their health, and this is particularly important in puppies and kittens. Not only is this consultation important for Rosco’s health but it’s also a great way to socialise and built up positive experiences of being in the vets.
Book your free flea/worming consultation with ...a nurse now! T&Cs apply regarding prescription treatment.

Im Jack Jack and i want to talk Parvovirus. Firstly, what is it? Parvovirus (Parvo for short) is a highly contagious virus that attacks the lining of the intestines. How does it spread? It spreads infected poo, yep you read right poo. That's big poo on the floor, little particles on your shoes and that spot on the floor that wasn't cleaned well enough. But what are the chances of your pet catching it, just keep them away from poo right? WRONG! Parvo can survive in the envir...onment for months!
Vomiting, diarrhoea and lethargy are symptoms and it's more common in young dogs and older dogs.
With a death rate of around 90% Parvo even with the best of nursing and medical care can end badly.
So how do we stop it? Easy! Always buy your puppies from reputable breeders or adopt from reputable homes. Vaccinate against or titre test to check antibody levels yearly.
There is no cure for Parvovirus, so be vigilant and let's get rid of parvo together.
Love Jack Jack, a Parvo surviver x
