We are all very excited to find we are in the top ten nominations for Best Breakfast in North Wales. Voting for us is easy, simply follow the link and like our photo on the daily post website. Big thanks to whoever nominated us.

What can I say, 34 years down the line and up from Australia - should I really go anywhere else, I think not!! May it long stay the institute it has always been, thanks Pete and all the staff, keep it going👍 See you soon. Phil smith

User

Very friendly and helpful staff and a thoughtful menu with a reasonable range of veggie and vegan options.

This cafe/restaurant was recommended to us by a couple we met in Chester. We drove to Snowdonia, enjoyed the beautiful scenery and then ate in Pete's place. There is a lot to choose from. The meals are substantial and good value for money. It is comfortable, airy and warm. It is a must for all outdoor people exercising in the area. Big mugs of tea which are the bizz. Ronnie from Dublin, Ireland

Pete's eats. THE BEST. I have been going there since day one. Now, I live near Llanberis and often go there. Great food indeed, and many old friends. Mountain people all over the world know Pete's eats.

User

Nice start to our HOT Snowdon jaunt last week, thanks!

The big question is....what brand are those veggie sausages?

Forgot to ask, they were *delicious* (& I'm generally a carnivore!)

Cheers!

I’ve been visiting Pete’s Eats for the last 25 years or so! ... I’ve always loved the laid back atmosphere & unpretentious food. It’s the perfect place to unwind with a cuppa & some proper, honest home cooked food after a day in the hills. Friendly staff, great menu, great food, great prices. I often eat here when I’m travelling alone & there’s always a convivial atmosphere... also a great 2nd hand book exchange, so you can find something to read over your dinner, if you’re not sharing a meal with friends. I will always keep visiting this Welsh gem, for as long as my legs can get me up the surrounding hills! 😊👍

User

Havn't eaten here since .... oooo 1980s? So pleased to find everything just as fabulous. Great food, giant mugs, great place and staff xxx Ill try not to leave it another few decades. Not just a cafe, a fabulous slice of Snowdonia mountain culture and history.

User

Can't thank this place enough after 30 hours with no electricity they provided us with hot food and drinks and somewhere warm to go with the children Alec was amazing with us was really accommodating and patient they couldn't help enough amazing service and very grateful

User

Breakfast was lovely, staff were great and would go again

User

As ever a busy place with plenty of life! Simple full menu for good food . Can suit vegetarian or meat eaters. Be prepared for what as food is freshly prepared . Good size mugs of tea or coffee. Simple cakes and snacks, full meals or egg on toast as examples

Perfect pit stop for families or singles .

User

Apres climbing food, from huge mugs of hot stuff through salads and vegetarian food to massive plates of their world famous Chilli Con Carne.

Perhaps one of the most iconic climbing cafes in the world.

Go there!

User

Pete's is a Llanberis institution and the place to eat. It's not gourmet. It doesn't pretend to be. But it serves up good, hot, food and lots of it for a reasonable price. Just the ticket after a walk / climb / mountain bike or mooch around the centre. Don't expect the Ritz but enjoy the vibe and a full belly afterward

User

I'm up Wales while I'm working and this is the only place I've used, not going anywhere else while I'm here, OK maybe a little wait for food but it's a busy cafe (I've read previous comments) I drive 6 miles for dinner here and worth it, staff are polite and cant knock the food, happy days, see you monday lunch time

User

Pete’s used to be amazing but I have to say certain older members of staff are get very grumpy... young staff are good but dare I say it the food and service is now very variable. We eat/drank at Pete’s three times this weekend and it was better once the average age of the staff fell

User

Great food, when it came. The service was slow and it wasn't busy. Waited 45 mins between placing order and food arriving. Asked after 30 mins waiting just to be told abruptly it was still being done, no apology.

User

When you order breakfast and it arrives over an hour later at lunchtime great coffee and friendly staff. Just don’t be in a hurry.

1:20 for breakfast in the end. Waste of time.

User

Used to be very good but the last time I went the service was very slow and the lady on the till (older lady with glasses) was very rude. She also gave use extremely weak tea. Food was mediocre. Not sure I will go back.

User

Pete's Eats used to be great but the last 2 times we've visited there I haven't enjoyed the food. The breakfast yesterday was average to say the least. Agree with one the previous reviews, the older staff are very grumpy and make you feel like you're putting them out but the younger staff are more welcoming. Not sure if i will bother going back there.

User

The food was decidedly average. The wait of 80 mins for this even less so. Amazing location. But this place didn’t live up to the hype.
