Who is heading home to watch the Outlaw King on Netflix this evening? If you are, see if you can spot the finest aquatic filming venue..... probably in the whole world....... No we're not talking Glen Etive, and no we are not biased :-)

***** LAST PARK AND PLAY FOR THE YEAR *****
Hi folks, this coming Monday, the 5th of November, will be the last park and play for the year.
It was great to see so many people there last week even if the weather/ water is starting to get a little chilly.
... Hopefully we get the same turnout for the last one.

All change at Pinkston: the start of the container shuffle. Over the next few weeks you will see a number of changes culminating in a new line of containers at the end of the basin and a new classroom at the far end. The Pinkston office will be moving into what was the car park classroom. Glasgow City Council's Outdoor Resource Centre is moving into the old Pinkston office.

This 4 week course is aimed at people who have completed one or more of our introductory sessions and are looking to build their skills further. You will develop your forward, backwards and turning skills, increase confidence around maintaining stability in your boat and will learn how to look after yourself if you should happen to end up the wrong way up. Our coaches take a fun approach to developing these skills and will work with you to achieve your padlding goals. The aim... is to take you to a level of ability where you will be thinking about moving onto moving water.
These sessions are suitable for people who have done only a little kayaking. They can also be good if you haven't done any for a long time. The next steps from this course would be to consider a 2* training, or joining one of the clubs that operate onsite.
We will provide you with all the kit you need - but please bring something to wear under a wetsuit (underarmour type base layers are great), shoes that you don't mind getting wet, and a towel etc for showering afterwards

A participant information form is required to be completed on arrival.

Dates for this course:
14th Oct
21st Oct
28th Oct
5th Nov

Popped in yesterday for the open day and great to see this fantastic facility up and running can't wait to get back and have a play on the water!

User

It's a really great venue and the whitewater course is good fun!

User

I'm amazed how much has been fitted into such a small space, my first run took 20 minutes and I was knackered at the end of it. Plenty of options to make your runs down as easy or as difficult as you like.

User

I wish I had one of these facilities near me. Located where it is was superb for me, but recently moving southbound has halted this...

User

Great place. I was there for an open-water swimming taster session. Well looked after, great facilities (even for 8am on a Sunday morning). 5 stars.
