France win the world cup which means we wave goodbye to our Big screen – until the 6 Nations Rugby anyway! So, to keep the adults happy we have invited Auchentoshan Single Malt Whisky to join us at Platform for a few weeks serving up absolutely stunning Whisky based cocktails to complement the huge array of food we have on offer.
For the wee ones, we have the return of our #KidsFest indoor festival and silent disco – send them off to their own Party and you can relax and eat while they dance the afternoon away and we will have Three Sisters Bake back with more cakes than we can eat – and we have tried!
Top that off with Thomsons Coffee and of course our amazing traders and it’s what the weekends were made for!

User

Its not a festival without music... So, its SILENT DISCO TIME at our Platform at Argyle St Arches #kidsfest

User

What a selection and what a venue! Just the best place to hang out and enjoy some great food & drinks - the dog can even join in! It is about time Glasgow had a space like this.

User

Went here yesterday, had the vegan burger even though I’m not vegan. Honestly one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Partner had the masala fish and chips, also awesome. Will be back.

User

We went in on a Saturday afternoon and were really impressed. A great venue, cool music and great food. We got one of the best Pizzas EVER, so good. A great place full of good food and the people who like it. Perfect

User

We dropped by on Saturday and stayed for a few hours! Our daughter was having a blast while mummy, daddy and the Grandparents could relax with fantastic food and drink! Big thank you to Catherine who looked after us so well when our wee one (and daddy) fell off their seat while playing Just a wee bruise and slightly embarrassed, our little girl was right as rain after Catherine and the other fantastic staff checking on us and distracting her with a colouring book. Big thank you!! We will definitely be back (quite often im sure... Im in love with the Freddy &Hicks BBQ burger) Wishing Catherine and co heaps of luck with this venture, you've done an incredible job and we will be pleased to spread the word Xx

User

Visited Platform with friends and kiddies today and had a great afternoon! These guys have absolutely nailed it with great selection of yummy food & drinks in a comfortable and family friendly venue!

Dj added a cool touch with the music and have to mention how fantastic the kids face painter was too! Thanks for a lovely day.

See you again soon!

User

THEE best place to go for a family day out in town!! Amazing food & the best atmosphere. Kids played all afternoon/evening in kids play area. Beautiful venue and friendly, approachable staff. I wouldn't go anywhere else for a bite to eat in town now.

User

So good to have a family friendly place in the centre of town that’s also enjoyable for the parents. Great selection of food that suits everyone and dedicated space for the kids so we’ll definitely be back as a family ... but its also somewhere we’d visit without the kids. Love what you have done with the place

User

Popped in on Mother’s Day and stayed way longer than expected. Tasty food, yummy cocktails, warm sitting area which dog friendly with plenty of space and things for the kids/big kids to do! I even got my face painted.

My little boy enjoyed his visit so much that the next morning he asked to go again!

Well done everyone

... nice to see the Venue open!

User

Popped in for lunch with our two young kids. What an amazing space! Delicious food, face painting, World Cup and ice-cream. Looking forward to many return visits with and without the kids!

User

I popped in with my family on the opening day for an hour and ended up staying much, much longer as the set up was so good. We spent the day grazing on different tasting plates from the various stalls with a few drinks to wash it down. Tasted everything from haloumi chips, to haggis, neeps and tatties and everything else in between (try the scallops and black pudding!!!) but best of all the kids were entertained all day and able to play around without us feeling stressed or being on their backs. This is looking like it will be our go to when trying to feed and entertain both adults and kids #brilliantallround

User

Had a great visit today. Four adults and 5 kids aged 3-8. Food was great and the kids were well entertained between the toys, face-painting, Easter crafts and the fact there is so much space and it’s quite noisy so you never feel your kids are in the way! Will def be back to try the pizza downstairs as the kids were a bit too fussy at the food stalls (which the adults thought were great!)

User

Great place to go with kids. One of the few child friendly places in the city centre. Amazing free face painting thrown in and so much space, people to look at and stuff for them to do that its almost like going with no kids! Also great food, lovely coffee. A great second life for the Arches.

User

Fantastic. Just the sort of place you can see yourself going back to again and again. Great vibe, music and drinks - and right outside Central to boot. Food stalls looked superb, can't wait to go back and try them. Our 8 and 5 year olds played with the games etc provided which meant we sat and had a drink in relative peace! It's the dream!

User

Dropped in with a 5 year old prior to taking the low level train to the Hydro- for wet days this is a dry and time saving idea for anyone going that direction

The three of us had the child’s portion of fish and chips from the seafood stall as we were in a bit of a hurry and not able to look around too much. As fish and chips go this was utterly gorgeous. Perfect for young children a bit put off by the more adult looking fare on offer.

The place was buzzing, clean and spacious. Will definitely come back for a longer visit and proper look at the choice of food on offer.

User

Brilliant hub in middle of town for great food and coffee / drinks. Amazing setting in the arches and laid back atmosphere. Loved that you can pop in and have a choice of loads of food and drink stalls under one roof. Coffee was amazing too. Could have sat there all day. Definitely a regular visitor!!

User

Awesome street food concept inside, warm and in the city centre. Great range of vendors, good tunes and lots of vegan options. The kids area with free face painting is brilliant too. High fives all round, my new go to weekend lunch place

User

Amazing venue, Amazing food, Octopus dumplings were my favourite, but genuinely, between 4 if us we tried about 10 dishes and not one was anything less that brilliant. I was really impressed with the use of Vegware compostables by all the vendors and the zero general waste ambitions. Why can't everyone do this!! Getting it right from the start Arches team, brilliant.. Big bonus for me, the bar has loads of Gins and the bar staff were well tuned in their recommendations. I need no convincing that Prosecco is a great mixer for Raspberry Gin! The atmosphere was chilled and relaxing. We didn't have the kids with us this time (bonus!), but even with lots of kids and dogs around it was still the perfect mix of Adult and family friendly. Can't wait to come back x

User

Visited for first time as part of a small group. Food was fine, we weren't bowled over but there was a good range. Shame however one stall was closed at 5.30 on a Saturday, and a couple had run out of stuff. Could do with more tables and more easy to move stools. I'd try again with the kids but I hope the WiFi is working by then!!

User

I have been to Platform a number of times and generally enjoy the atmosphere here. Unfortunately I've found it's been managed particularly poorly during the World Cup. Firstly, I think their closure during TRNSMT over two key weekends during the World Cup is an incredibly poor business decision and has disappointed a lot of patrons. My major gripe was we went today, specifically for the World Cup Final. The game turned off before the cup was presented to boos around the venue. I'm unsure what would have happened if the game went to extra time and penalties. There would have been some uproar had the game been turned off mid-game. I'm unsure how the management can advertise a World Cup game and not have the relevant licences to hold such an event. Overall, a poorly run event and I will unlikely be back.
