About Polyphonic Recording
Everyone Sang is a Lo-Fi / High-Quality music studio. Here we work as a full package, musicians who make records, overdub, write, arrange, rehearse, discuss. Your call.
Polyphonic Recording Description
Everyone Sang is the home of recording artist, engineer, session musician & producer Lukas Drinkwater & Emily Barker.
Started as a space for Lukas to record sessions on double bass & guitar, and as a writing / creative space for Emily, we now offer recording, with in-house musicians, a good array of instruments, amps, pedals, mics, shaky and jangly things, drums. We also have a great network of musicians to hand, both locally and internationally to add to your recording, either here in the studio, or remotely.
We are a relatively new venture here as a studio, but with many years experience working with producers and artists the world over, we can help you make your songs with a sparkle and a lot of heart.
Whether you want to demo songs in a relaxed creative space, co-write with experienced writers, overdub parts for your album you've recorded elsewhere, rehearse with your band, hire a session player to add parts to your song, we can do all of these things.
Lukas Drinkwater is an experienced session guitarist, double bassist, electric bassist, and general noise-maker with credits on over 100 album, single, advert, TV & movie soundtrack releases worldwide, with a toe in the jazz world, an ear in the folk scene, an elbow in funk & soul, a shin in rock, and various other body parts tentatively dipped in to various other genres.

A whole range of facial expressions going on to match the whole range of string instruments being used in this week’s album session with Cumbria-based singer-songwriter Mike Turnbull - we’re powering through the songs like power rangers here!
It’s a drum day at Everyone Sang Studio today. Adding parts to Ryn’s new recordings from the last few days. I am blown away by these songs and can’t wait to finish them and share it around!

More happy recording clients this week as both Greg Hancock and Ryn brought their beautiful songs to Stroud and we worked together to produce some truly stunning music. New sounds on old songs, old sounds on new songs. Really enjoying innovating with production on such great music. I'm booking in recording sessions for December already, so get in touch if you're planning your next release..
Strange scenes at the studio today with Road Not Taken as we misused a piano among many other instruments to get some other-worldly sounds for their next single.
In between recording, I'm around the world playing music. WHy not check in and see if I'm playing near you: Come and say hi!

Here it is! The wonderful people at Good On Paper featured our studio in this month's magazine.
We've had a great response so far, loads of enquiries, and met loads of new friends in Stroud.
... If you're interested in what we do, come by for a cuppa and have a look around. We're always keen to discuss ideas and make plans.

Three glorious days in the studio with Dan Whitehouse & Emily Barker and I only managed to take one photo, and it was this. Loads of great sounds and great times with this wonderful fella. Looking forward to the new album.
Bass parts recorded here in Stroud - what a great line-up, and in my opinion, Kelly’s best album to date! Very proud to be involved
Here it is!! Get your copy of ‘Good on Paper’ and see what all the fuss is about. Huge thanks to Chris Taylor & Alex Hobbis.
Very excited an honoured to have a feature in next month's edition of Good On Paper magazine. Everyone in the Stroud area loves this great institution of arts, music and all creative happenings.
