Shahjalal Masjid was formed and donated back in 1985, the Masjid was donated by the local authorities whom the local community requested, and initially the authorities donated 1 porter cabin which catered for 30 – 40 worshipers, as the demand grew form the members of the local community, the local community requested another porter cabin and again the local authorities donated another porter cabin, this was one of the first Muslim Mosque and Community centre to open in the London Docklands and Blackwall area.

As Salaamu Alikum everyone. Poplar Shahjalal Masjid is holding an event for the brothers this Sunday aftet esha onward with the renowned Mufti & Phd doctored of North London (Stamford Hill Masjid), graduate of Bury under Shaykh Yisif Motalla shaab.
All brothers are requested to attend and reap the rewards. Facebook live will be shown for the sisters. Food will also be served afterwards

Our Lady & St Joseph Catholic Primary School Visits The Mosque, Part of inter faith week and part of the schools curriculum in religious studies, the school had chosen to visit us again, this year we had another guest accompanying the school an activist for the community Sister Christine Frost. The children and staff thoroughly enjoyed the event presented to them by our Female staff who is also our lead in Maktab. Our Thanks to the Teacher for all her efforts in arranging and organising everything to making this event successful. Also present was our imam Hafiz Muhibur Rahman, Br Faruk, Br Jamal.
