Strength & Conditioning and Group training facility in Chelmsford. Acting as the training base for Coach William Wayland certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS).
Striving for performance that can be measured in success on the field, on the court, in the ring or in the cage. With a client list as varied as UFC fighters and International level athletes Skiers and Golfers.
Interesting, Scientific and most importantly applied information is what drives Powering Through.

🔸Follow your intuition🔸Many Coaches often sweat strength sport lifts like #powerlifting or #olympiclifting and how a program MUST include this stuff. If you trust your process it may mean breaking with norms. This should be the point at which you’ve assimilated the information from your peers/forebears and realise you now have the confidence to act according to needs YOU are trying to meet. The guy's at Powering Through have totally changed the way I train and have now got me through two Obstacle Course Racing World Championships.
I no longer suffer with training related injuries, have better energy levels, and more crucially have made significant increases in my functional strength - resulting in better performance.
I trust the team explicitly with my programming and I stick to one simple rule "do what they tell me to and stick to the plan". Do that and you won't go wrong!
Since training with Will, I have noticed a significant difference in my performance and power when I train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I have hit PB's often, and it feels like I have the edge over my opponents and helped greatly when competing and winning some prestigious events.
I began strength training with William via correspondence a little over a year ago and I am so glad that I made the decision to do so. Right from the start I was blown away by the knowledge and commitment to designing workout plans to increase my strength which coincided with my comp, pre-comp and off season periods. But most of all I was extremely happy with the results I received after sticking to the programs. I got strong, a lot stronger than I had felt before and my training partners and opponents at competitions commented on this also. I always, and will always, recommend William and Powering Through to anyone who is serious about their BJJ and MMA competition preparation. OSSSS
Come to William last year September time. I race motorbikes professionally and was looking for the next step in my training. William introduced a sports specific strength and conditioning programme for me and I have found such improvements in my discipline. Highly recommended
