Ten of us decided to descend here after watching a show. We were just going to have drinks but the menu sounded delicious and made us a bit peckish! We ordered separately, but all our food arrived at the same time, very promptly, and everyone was impressed.

Lovely atmosphere, nice staff, perfect location. Definitely will be back �

This is my local pub! Staff is always smiling and friendly with great service. I had cod and chips/fries for us Americans (me texan), with mushy peas. Haha mushy peas were a bit on the firm side but good flavor tho. Cod was really good especially with the Guinness. Writing this in the pub currently!

The pub was great, would have liked a plain ordinary sandwich selection on the menu, just popped in for a sandwich & a glass of wine before a show. Just had the wine in the end & used the facilities which are ridiculously small. For such a big, busy pub, something should be done about them.

Really nice atmosphere early evening Tuesday with the impeccable Jenny and David playing sift, sophisticated tunes. Bravo!

So if your going to a show consider eating here Don't think you will be disappointed

First impression OK but 1st pint was like a cup of hot tea-needless to say it went back and after a bit of faffing about got a half decent pint, had the shared platter which was fine - old gentleman came in Sat nearby and he got a warm pint as well so I had something else - you need to sort that out, not acceptable to keep serving , apart from that good!!

A great venue, especially to watch a rugby match on good well placed TV screens.

The atmosphere is electric along with a wide selection of beers and solid pub grub.

The bar and bar staff excellent - sadly my food was not up to scratch - sent my jacket potato back as it was rock hard only for it to come back out again rock hard!!! Apparently there were new kitchen staff on - the bar girl did however give me a free glass of wine to apologise which kind of made up for it in the end.

Staff were great, food came out cold so sent the chips back. They came back out even colder if that's possible.

Had the hunters chicken sandwich and had 2 tiny pieces of chicken on each slice so wasn't impressed but as I said before the staff were very accommodating and after asking for a contact number for head office they swiftly gave us a refund. Lovely pub with a nice atmosphere but needs to sort the kitchen out as it seems this is an on going issue.

Staff were fine and kept the place clear of dirty tables but..........45mins wait for food? Wouldn't of minded if the place was busy but when I was there not many people and watched as customers AFTER me were served their meals. I spoke to a chap and my meal was served almost immediately. Shame it was cold. I left shortly after and won't be going back

I thought the menu was very poor. Staff were wearing dirty football shirts. Haven't a problem with the shirts but at least wear a clean one.





Why ask for a review if you don't like what customers write

Great little pub but the smallest toilet cubicles in the world. I'm 5"4 and my knees touched the door.

We waited at least 3/4 hour for our food to be served- when it did arrive my steak and chips were cold and also my friends Camembert was cold . Complained to staff. 20 minutes later food arrived. People on table next to us were going to the theatre had travelled a considerable number of miles and eventually gave up waiting, had a refund, and went to subway. Certainly won’t be eating there ever again!!!

Was in watching the rugby which the pub had advertised so therefore the pub was mobbed yet not enough staff working on the bar!!

Sorry to say this meal was very disappointing we waited 55 mins after asking twice where our meals were they eventually came the plates were cold, the broccoli and carrots were hard and the mashed potato was also cold I ate some of the pie which tasted ok but that was only warm, I did complain and was given our money back they admitted to having some problems and they weren’t wrong

Good but got charged 3 different prices ranging from £8.50 to £10.50 for same 2 drinks. When I asked why the bar manager asked if I had receipts for previous rounds!!! As if!

Terrible lunch and SLOW service - ordered large steak and was served SMALL steak- was this a deliberate mistake? We are not tourists !

The second steak took another 30 mins and was no great - good job they refunded full bill without being prompted - such a shame as this is a premium brand pub in a premium location

Additionally two of their key ales were not available so had to go for lower grade ale

Never go there again !
