Went to my first body pump session and wow I'm gonna feel that tomorrow.

My only feedback would be....... it would be good to see some gloves and pads. I was a little disappointed that you had bags yet no equipment to go with it.

But over all staff are helpful and classes/machines are good.

User

This gum is top class always clean always equipment to use and more than enough classes per day all for 20 quid made me leave my last gym to join here and it's open 24hr a day

User

Loved Daisy Kemp’s zumba class, so much fun. Daisy is really energetic and gets the whole class involved, she is also an amazing dancer and makes it easy for us all to pick up the moves. I look forward to it every week.

User

Love the gym only been a member a few weeks but already settled in, only down side is the size of the lockers, I have a motorbike and if I wanted to pop up on my bike I don't think my helmet and gear would fit in the locker.

Joined here from Bannatyne's Kingsford Park who were charging £63 a month. I wasn't expecting much based on the price but this is a superior gym to Bannatyne's and at a quarter of the price. Some of the free weights equipment is low-budget but they're well spaced out and do the job. I've never had to queue for a squat rack or a bench. Showers and changing facilities are good. The shower requires you to press a button every 20 seconds but for £20 a month I can't complain. I've done two classes, Spin and Grit, and been impressed with both, especially Grit. Overall this is an excellent gym.

User

I can’t think of anything to moan about tbh. £20.00 for everything, a sauna , free classes, lockers, all gym equipment and online account for progression... the environment Is wicked and the cleanliness is top notch. Glad I’ve finally joined after living in Colchester for year, this is so perfect for me.

User

I LOVE this gym, couldn’t recommend it enough. I feel guilty on the days I don’t go and I go most days. Been going for the past month now. Very spacious and lots of different equipment to use and there’s plenty of room to carry out your own exercises and the cost is great given the quality of the gym. I love my Thursday Zumba sessions with Daisy, I look forward to it every week, she’s brilliant - I wish she would do more classes! Also tried out Body Pump yesterday and that’s going to be another one of my weekly classes!

User

Great atmosphere, lots of cardio equipment and what seems to be plentiful free weights. I mainly go to classes and I'm loving them! Overall fab gym with no problems with finger print entry or car parking. I don't tend to go along at peak times so can't comment on what it's like then but I'm a very happy and regular pump gym bunny

Went to Pump Gym yesterday 15th March with a day pass. This is by far the best gym I've been to. They have so much equipment and choice. It's a shame that some of the equipment is already out of action/waiting for repair, but it didn't spoil my experience. Will recommend this gym to my friends.

User

The gym itself is great and has A LOT to offer, the facilities are clean, there is a wide range of machines and itself temperature wise is much cooler than my last gym.

My only bug bare (which is quite big as I go before work) is that their is no electrical points for my straighteners in the changing rooms. I am hoping this gets addressed.

User

The gym is nice and always has great music so if you forget your earphones you don’t have to worry. The classes are good, it’s great that they let you use the virtual classes at anytime as long as the studio isn’t in use the lady at reception was really helpful at helping me set it up. Great gym and a nice facility especially for the price.

User

So far it’s only ok, needs a laying leg curl, hack squat and better leg press/leg extension as they feel cheap and don’t allow a good extension. Backs pretty well covered, chest is okay as well... maybe a better shoulder press could be nice as well

User

So far I am really impressed! I joined on Saturday and loving every minute. I’m just gutted I woke up with a cold this morning or I would have been in first thing! I’ve not tried any classes yet but I joined mainly for the gym and the boxing room!

User

Really good the price. Have been a few times now, there is loads of equipment and things to do and so far have had no problems getting on the equipment i wanted. Entry system is good, the tubes you go in are a bit snug but thats why i am going to the gym haha! It all feels very open and exposed which i am not used to as other gyms i have been to its not such an open space but thats just personal preference and i am sure i will get used to it. Car park is a bit of a squeeze at times as it looks like the car garage next door seem to use the back? Plus the back of the car park is not lit up so when i came out at 10 the other night i felt very unconfortable walking to my car as you never know what can happen. The only issue i have had is i went to virtual spin on monday, a group of us were in the room but nothing happened. Found a staff member who was quite rude as when i was asking a question he was walking away and merely said ‘we’re not set up for virtual yet’ and i said you should let people know and still walking away he said ‘oh well’. So more light in the car park and better communication and it would be 5* in my opinion. Great gym have reccomended.

User

I would love better showers, an assisted pull up machine and a TRX. Sometimes parking is tough but other than that it's a good gym. There's never much of a wait for equipment/machines. I haven't done classes yet, they always seem to be quite busy. Some equipment for the boxing area would be great too and maybe some cleaning stations with antibacterial spray.

User

First time using the gym today. Eventually managed to get in, then I couldn’t access the changing rooms. Gym equipment is more than anyone could ever want for. The free weights area is brilliant.

Changing rooms areas with mirrors and only two hairdryers I could see. Showers terrible, lasted for about 5 seconds before switching on again, then took its time to get hot. Let’s hope it doesn’t get busy as there certainly won’t be enough showers to go round!

User

I have only been going to classes and generally very good although on Friday just gone, I attended Blast 40 and it was the worst class I have ever been to in my life. The instructor was counting way to fast, even when we told him to slow down so, we could only do half the amount of reps he told us to do (physically). Secondly, the class ended abruptly without any stretching, the guy said we could if we wanted to...! I asked him to show me what stretches to do as I didn't know and he told me to copy another girl who was stretching at the front of the room. I have now strained my arm and I put this down to not warming up for the class or stretching properly afterwards. I wouldn't attend blast 40 again in a hurry!

User

Door system is rubbish takes to long if it works !!! im very new to using a gym there is never any staff about to ask for a bit of help with equipment .. last time I went there wasnt even anyone in the reception . Virtual isnt up an running and the music isnt loud enough ..

User

Direct debit cancelled for apparent default payment but rather than contacting me they have cancelled membership. I was one of the first people to sign up to the gym before it opened, however have been unable to attend due to work commitments and using another gym. I was told to contact harlands and have it re-instated but the club have completely cancelled my membership themselves... Not a great start pump!
