Beautiful conditions for the Men’s Club Championship today - good luck to all.

The Maud Peebles Putting Trophy is a competition for the Ladies section, there is a qualifier 3 weeks before and the top 16 Ladies go through to the play off. It was amazing the quality of the putting today and after a hard fought battle it was down to just two ladies, Caroline Rogers and Jayne Morrell. Caroline came along with some very skilful holes in one, Jayne fought back with a few of her own but in the end Caroline was victorious. Congratulations to Caroline and to all the Ladies who qualified for this competition. The picture is of the Lady Captain Brenda Ranson presenting the trophy on the putting green to Caroline who was delighted with her win. Also a picture of the Lady captain and the two finalists.

2017/18 Lady Captain Frances Wood with Aaron Tillyer, our Community Fundraiser from the Royal Marsden in Sutton. The funds raised by the Ladies through various activities came to £7,198.64 plus a number of donations were made by members direct to the Marsden. The total raised by PDGC members for the Oesophageal Research Unit was £7,723.64.

nice non demanding course well kept greens and fairways

This was our first visit to the club. 26 of us on a society day.

When we arrived we was impressed with the stunning par 3 first hole. Tee was outside the club house so pressure shot 🏌🏿

We played 27 holes on a course that was in perfect condition. Sponge fairways and wonderful true and quick greens. Stunning.

Food was excellent and staff were polite and very helpful.

Would 100% go back for more

Had a great golf day on Thursday 7th September, thecfood was superb! We went for the pork belly and chocolate tort. Yum! Course was in great condition. Thank-you

Dear Naysayers, this week I have walked over 10 miles, some in the company of a crazy but very knowledgable geezer. Some with the most charming, funny and beautiful woman. I saw the most amazing wildlife, the early stretches of mother nature as she wakes from her winter slumber. I walked up hills and down hills, through glorious countryside. I laughed a lot, sometimes until my stomach ached. I often had to stretch my mind as well as my body to navigate to my next ‘check point’. I learned about history, nature, friendship and love. But perhaps the most important lesson I learnt wandering around this beautiful course was that golf is most certainly NOT ‘a good walk wasted!’ 🙃⛳️

Course is in excellent condition, greens fast and true, some of the best around. Great views over London. A real treat.
