The Quantock Happy Hackers is a riding club for competent riders without their own horse who would you like to go riding regularly in the Quantocks. We are a unique riding club. We don't compete but go out hacking in small groups.

Manor Farm Riding Stables was a trekking centre for many years and has now developed an original concept offering an excellent opportunity to experience horse ownership without needing to own your own horse.
Quantock Happy Hackers is a unique riding club. We don’t need to compete, we don’t need to own our horses yet we have access to fantastic facilities and hacking in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The horses we have are mainly Thoroughbreds, all with exceptional manners, and who offer the potential to help you improve your riding skills either through hacking or using the floodlit, all-weather manege and our on-site instructor.
The riding club is for adults, many of whom have returned to riding after a break. Our riders come from all walks of life, making riding out a real social event. We also arrange different social activities, evenings out, picnic rides, fun rides, etc.
Being a club member will give you an insight into complete horse ownership as you will be responsible for looking after the horses from your arrival at the yard until they are put back into the field.

Due to the latest government advice and BHS statement we have decided we can't go riding until the rules are relaxed. This is going to be a strange time, and the only way we will be able to get through this is if we all pull together.

No, we didn't ride today and when we put them in the manege to muck out their stables, they were very eager to come back up again :) Let's hope storm Ciara goes away quickly now.
What a lovely day for a ride! Glorious sunshine, super duper horses, a couple of nice canters in Wind Down, gorgeous views, considerate and patient drivers in cars, vans and tractors. Bliss!
