We turned up over an hour early for ice karting and all the staff of the bowling reception where very accommodating. We decided to have a game of bowling with was good fun. We ordered some food while bowling but as we had finished bowling we went to eat in in the bar area. We then did ice karting. Which was great fun.

Majority of the staff where very friendly and helpful especially Zoe who was the first person we saw at the bowling reception desk and helped us with all the questions we had. However, some staff looked a bit moody and needed to smile a bit more.

Also I was told by the men who were in charge of the ice karting that we were able to go into the ice rink and stand at the side and watch. However, while watching the security guard came and told me to get out of this area and go back to the reception area behind the glass. I explained that I was told I was allowed and he was a bit moody and went to check. I was right and he then went.

Overall a lovely experience and we would defiantly recommend and if we are in the area we would go back ourselves.

I liked the experience at the Queens! The down bit about the place is that the lane wasn't oiled properly, so you couldn't enjoy well the game. Two lane share one table and doesn't feel comfortable because the people who playing on next lane are right up your nose. It would be nice to have a bit of privacy. In overall the place looks cool and has great music and staff are friendly.

A very good set up with plenty to do from Bowling to Ice Skating, watching Ice Hockey practice to doing Ice Karting.

A nice sized bar/restaurant with a nice London Lager although strange you won't get a pint here it's either 2/3's pint 2 pint or 3 pint.

A couple of pool tables & dart board plus some old styles video games. The staff were friendly enough and helpful although a little strange that it's over 18's only from 7pm onwards but I was informed it's because they don't want little ones running riot round the place knocking drinks over so slightly understandable.

I took part in the Ice Karting and absolutely loved it, first time going to Queens but will certainly be going back again.

A must try place for adults if you're looking for something slightly different.

User

Last night just went there for skating with all my family.. we had a lovely evening at Queensway . Unfortunately got a woman staff who r working at the restaurant area are so rude to us when we r asking for some drink and food at the skating cafe n she said drink or food will not serve on the skating cafe side and it's so ridiculous for me if is not serving at the skating cafe and wat for ..the restaurant needed at there than..

User

I give the food a rating 5 but the service is 0

First, you need to wave down waiters (& they’ll ignore you) to take your order. You have to practically fight for anything you need (silverware, drinks, etc). I had the same terrible service both times I went (group of 3 & group of 14)

Once I went with 13 friends and they just put the food down - no one knows who’s is what. The food, however, is delicious- especially the Burgaloo Vegan burger rabbit style. Best vegan splurge out there! My friends liked the some Fizz drink.

User

Good facilities and stuff but the bearded bar guy was one more rude/arrogant remark away from having a pint thrown over his face. Never been spoken to like that by bar staff.

User

Don't even bother yourself to go for ice skating . Skates are totally uncomfy and the ice rink is nonskatable. They are not taking care of it at all. We left after 20 mins of trying to skate but it was exhausting and not enjoyable at all. Ice rink surface in terrible condition. However I'd definitely recommend having a drink next to ice rink entrance , we've been served by Krzysztof who was really helpful and professional. Thanks for that xxx

User

Great place to go for all the family.

My 2* rating purely reflects the dining which I found to be way overpriced for the quality and sadly far less than acceptable table service...

User

We were told off for being late, rushed through our game, and hassled by the guy working there for sitting and talking for (2 minutes) inbetween bowling... I don’t know about anyone else but my experience with other bowling places has usually been quite chilled and fun which definitely wasn’t the experience we had here!

We ended up bowling for a total of about 10 minutes (if that). Our first drink had not even had time to arrive and we were only halfway through our game when we decided to leave due to his hassling. I don’t really like to be personal, but the guy (who I got the impression was a supervisor or manager) needs to learn to be more polite in the way he talks to people. He talked over me and my friend a lot, interrupting us and going on and on... I had to ask him to let me speak at one point. It got very boring and not really the experience you want on a Friday night!

Anyway the decor was nice and with the right kind of experience set out in mind, it could be a really cool place to go for the evening and have a few drinks as we had planned. The other staff and waiter who took our drinks order were very friendly!

Totally disgusted at the customer service I have received from Queens. We needed to move our Team Christmas Party so I called in yesterday and they gave me availability for 7 Dec. I then checked with the team and everyone was good for this date so I called back this morning to make the change and I'm told I can't because it's peak Christmas time and I can't change it to anytime after 20 Nov. I then asked if the fee was different for Dec of which he said no and to make reservations for this day you had to have a meal. I then said if you look at my booking you would see that we have a meal after the bowling so he said okay he will get his colleague to call me back in the afternoon. I now get a call from Lydia who then said that they have a large booking so she can't make the change. I asked why I have been told different things by everyone and all she would say is we don't have availability. My colleague then goes online to make a booking for the same day, same time, same amount of people and it says it's available. I then call back and she says no all the lanes are full so I asked to speak to her manager and conveniently there's not one in the office!!! REALLY?! Very Poor service.

User

Me and my family just came to Queens Bowling, we had a booking for 1pm but unfortunately due to a problem with the overground and underground we had problems getting to you and as a result were 30 mins late.

When we spoke to Silvie (the receptionist) she was extremely rude to us. She spoke to us as if we were children “Do you know what time it is? You do realise you’re late...” when we apologised and asked if there was any way we could change the booking she said we could but would have to pay again. The bowling alley was relatively empty and there were many free lanes. She did not offer any sort of fair alternative, she refused to give us our money back or use the money we had paid to move the booking until later. She then told us we could bowl for 15 minutes until the next booking arrived which we reluctantly agreed to, we were discussing our options when she rudely interrupted and said “YOU DON’T NEED SHOES you’re wasting your 15 mins.. go play for your 15 minutes” she completely ruined the mood for our game, we were very upset and stunned by her rudeness, half way through my go she came and told us we had to leave and quit our game with no warning.

Just turned up at the door about 20min before writing this review and its not the first time it’s happened, told there was no ice skating due to a private event, no info on the site, last time this has happened I called in before coming and asked if skating was on, got told it is, turned up all the way from Slough paid for parking, got sent off, and this is not the first time wouldn’t recommend.

User

Just had the most horrible conversation with someone at Queen's about a 10 year old's birthday party. I was all excited and ready to book - and came off the phone absolutely gutted and feeling the whole thing would be incredibly stressful and restrictive. Lots of 'We would ask you to leave by 6pm'. 'They must be there by 4pm'.

The woman was also unable to explain why a child's menu was £7.50 and bowling was £8 (£15.50) - yet a birthday party total was £17 and I'd have to leave by 6pm.

Avoid. What a horrible, unwelcoming place.
