"As a team of nurses and health care assistants working at GOSH, we decided to get a group of us together to run the RBC Race for the Kids this year...we are all able to see first hand the work of the charity and how fundamental this is for children and their families... The main reason we’ve all decided to take part is to raise money for such an amazing charity! We’ve already beaten our target" shared Elizabeth from Hedgehog Team.

Meet former GOSH patient Amecia and her mum Caroline 😊 They will be joining us at #RBCRacefortheKids in just 4 days time!
“We take part every year for many reasons. The most important reason is to raise money for such a worthy cause, so they can keep saving lives! GOSH is an amazing place and they saved my life when I was a baby, and thanks to them I recently celebrated my 13th birthday at the end of September!” Shared Amecia.
... Mum Caroline added, “It is a blessing to be able to give, weather that be your money or your time. Amecia is so proud of her collection of medals, but it represents so much more than finishing the race to us...It’s proving to yourself that no matter what you went through, you can do anything!”

Attention Racers! Here's all the important race day information you need to know.
RACE PACKS If you signed up before the 1st October, your race pack has been sent to the address you registered with. If you haven’t received your pack, or if you signed up after the 1st October, you can collect a race pack on the day at the race pack collection tent from 8:30am.
... Your race pack will contain: t-shirt, race number, wristband for children, safety pins, event day information and a route map.
START TIMES Event village opens at 8:00am Warm up will begin at 9:30am Race start 10:00am
The event village is approximately a 10-15 minute walk from Hyde Park Corner or Knightsbridge tube stations. Please allow plenty of time to get to the event village, especially if travelling with small children.
BAGGAGE INFORMATION We will have baggage storage for small bags only so please keep your belongings to a minimum. Make sure you allow plenty of time to deposit your belongings at the baggage drop before the race. Baggage drop will open from 8.30am.
EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION Everyone taking part in RBC Race for the Kids MUST complete their emergency contact information on the back of your race number. Please ensure this is complete before you start the race.
CHILDREN'S WRISTBANDS All children must wear a green wristband. If you don't have one, you can collect one from the race pack collection tent on the day. Please ensure contact details for a parent or guardian are added to the wristband.
WATER STATIONS This year's going to be our greenest yet. There will be no plastic water bottles available on site so please bring your own water bottles to fill up at the event village water stations. There will be a water stop along the route with paper cups for drinking rather than plastic water bottles.
REGISTRATION Online registration will close at midday on Friday, 12 October. Please ensure your friends and family sign up before then. If they are registering in Hyde Park on the day, please allow plenty of time to do this as the queues can get quite long.

What an amazing day yesterday was, myself & my 5yr old son ran the race, we travelled from fife in Scotland especially for it, we had great fun and it was a totally emotional day, for an amazing cause. Great Ormond street is an amazing hospital and we love fundraising for them xx

Race for the kids is an event suitable for everyone. You can run, scoot, walk or use your mobility scooter to get you round the course and the atmosphere is amazing. You will meet up with lots of lovely people all raising money for the best children's hospital in the world!

Myself and family had a amazing day. My grandchildren whom are 5 and 8 years old have never done anything like this before and did very well.proud nanny. It made them understand more as i work with disabled children many whom attend great ormond street hospital regular. It was an honour to be a part of it. Xxx

I do it every year with my dear friend and her daughter to celebrate GOSH saving her life many times. I also get to reflect and celebrate her achievements year by year as she wheels and walks it. Every year I cry as we go over the finish line in thankfulness.

First year taking part for my 3 year old and myself yesterday. Will defiantly be doing it all again next year!! Was a brilliant day and all for an amazing cause!! X
