Went to the red lion for lunch with my daughter and our greyhound. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were very happy the pub was dog friendly!�. Food was great!! ,and a bargain lunchtime deal-two meals for £9!! Will definitely be returning. Thanks red lion for a lovely lunch!�

We hired out the stable today for a large family meal. It was fantastic! Food and drink served to us, very nice, very reasonable and nothing was too much trouble. Can't wait to have another reason to go back!

The Red Lion hosted a fantastic charity golf day to raise funds for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (my son, George was diagnosed with this in 2016). It was a superb day which raised lots of money, & George loved meeting everyone in the pub at the end to give out the prizes. Huge thanks to the Red Lion & Russ for making it happen! Thank you

I hosted my charity quiz night at the Red Lion and I couldn't have had a better experience. All of the staff were so helpful, helping to accommodate all my guests and were generally just so friendly. The atmosphere in the pub was brilliant, food was delicious and I would strongly recommend this pub to any / everyone!! Favourite pub in Billericay by far

Hi all my first visit to the red lion was on New Year's Eve entry by ticket which was only a fiver brilliant idea as pub was busy but not rammed, great atmosphere great music met friends in there was a brilliant evening would definitely go again thanks.

Great place on the high street . Very impressed with the bar staff, great service with a smile. Even going the extra mile to help a disabled customer get settled at the table. The food was top notch, and the choice of beers is excellent. There's even a cordoned off area for the chaps to watch the gee gees on a Saturday lunchtime. My only regret was that it's not my local.

A fantastic night! The buffet was superb and the staff were very attentive, all 10 ladies had a great time.

Went with family and baby + pram. Good seating, food excellent and all had something different to eat. Staff friendly and helpful. Tables could have been cleared by staff rather than punters when people turned up

My work's local

I've eaten a few times in here by day and no complaints - better quality than Wetherspoon' Food and also ended up in here after my work's Christmas do in December after a noisy dinner at Pasha. So Red Lion was much more fun!

I think it's a good pub to go to. Haven't eaten there before but if me and my boyfriend go out for drinks and we are not going clubbing then its red lion all the way. Only thing I find Is there aren't many seats on a Saturday night so when we wanna sit down we are sometimes searching round for a table but then it's just cause it's the most busy time of the week but overall good pub, nice bar staff, good atmosphere and I like the music they play on a Saturday night most of the time sometimes it's old stuff which not so keen on but when they play current music it's good

Great bar, staff always helpful, food was nice enough for a pub. Good beer garden area

Ok staff a bit not bothered food order not passed on correctly to kitchen or kitchen staff couldn't be bothered.



Also food and drinks overpriced

It's alright as a meeting and starting point, only good thing is the free wifi

Had ok meal , ordered fish gougons but they weren't they were just bits of battered fish. Ordered 2 grazers as starters but hubby didn't say that we wanted them before our main. Service was OK wouldn't rush back

Food was good, but for me it was too crowded, loud and not comfortable but that would be fine for anybody liking a loud night out.

Went for a drink with wife bar staff chatting to friends!at end of bar walk away had to walk round to other end of bar the staff relocated to chat came over to serve with the excuse that we hadn't been seen not very nice bordering on ignorance

The pub in general is always good and nice atmosphere but the food was rank! Defo won't be going back to eat there!

Worst pub and rudest landlord and patrons ever! Council ordered the ugly pergola removed months ago and it still stands. Patrons regularly pissing on the outside wall with no regard for people who live nearby. Patrons repeatedly park illegally on Lion Lane ( a Private road) with zero consideration for obstructing the right of way. How would you people like it if we parked in front of your driveway and blocked access?
