Semi productive morning. 1 job done and 2nd cancelled halfway on the way to it. Back home and now going to have feet up. I am still contactable if anyone needs help.

Evening all. This may be nothing but I have had 5 calls today where Windows 10 machines have had their default keyboard layout changed to English ( United States). To rectifiy this is really easy and all you need to do is follow these steps. 1:-Press the Windows key and the "R" key. 2:-Type in the box ms-settings:regionlanguage 3:-Under prefered languages you will have English ( United Kingdom) and English (United States). 4:-Click on the English ( United States). on the left... will be a down arrow. Click it and then click on the Englsih ( United States) again then click on remove. 5:-If English ( United Kingdom) is not listed click Add a language. In the search bar type in English ( United Kingdom). Once installed follow step 3. 6:-Close the open windows. 7:-Restart the PC/ Laptop.

I know that most large companies only get to where they are through unscrupulious business practices but what has just happened to me shows that the one I have dealt with today even though they portray they care, they really dont. very brief outline. I have a piece of equipment that the said company recommend an update to be done. My item was working fine before the update but since is now causing an issue whereby the item is now unusable. The unit is within its 3yr warranty ...which covers hardware only, not the software installed on it, which by the way also belongs to the said company. After speaking to their tech support, I am being told I need to pay a fee for them to assist/ diagnose/ resolve the issue, however, it the representative feels that a resolve is not possible thats it..... GOODBYE!. I have no issue in paying the said fee. I have issue with paying said fee, the representative saying after I have given all the info requested, " I am very sorry sir, there is nothing that can be done". and I have lost the said fee. I might as well just put the money out on the pavement, wait 24 hours come back to the unit to see it may or may not be working but one way or another the fee has gone from where I left it. Name and shame the company.... well why not... Thanks Netgear... thanks for causing me the problem in the first place and demand money without the verification that if it cant be fixed your on your own.

Just as a reminder, I have offered this advice up many times and given we are going to have a hot week, not just the security issue of losing your mobile device, whilst enjoying the sunshine, keep your mobile device out of the direct sunlight. This has been known to cause a battery to overheat and possibly spontainiously combust..... enjoy the warm weather all...

Macbook Pro Early 2015 A1502. 1 off. i5 2.7ghz/ 8gb/ Intel Iris 6100/ Usual stuff i.e.wifi etc. Currently fitted with a 128gb SSD. Offering the option of upgrading to 2 other capacity SSD's.Upgrade to 256gb SSD for an extra ┬Ż75 or 512gb SSD for ┬Ż150. Current OSx is High Sierra. Can be downgraded to Sierra/ el Capitan/ Yosamite if required. Very good condition. For purposes of full disclosure. This came to me with a damaged screen. The whole lid has been replaced. The lid purc...hased, the seller has removed the anti glare coating ( a common issue as when deteriated it gives the screen an oily appearance) and it has some surface scratches that do not effect the use of the unit or have any effect on the display. I have fitted a protective glass over the top to tidy it and the scratches are not visible at all. Collection is from Dagenham, either during my working hours or by appointment outside of these times. Due to people make an appointment and not turning up, out of hours appointments will carry a ┬Ż10 deposit to be submitted. You turn up and buy ┬Ż10 will be deducted from the final price. You turn up and do not buy, your ┬Ż10 will be returned. You don't turn up, well goes without saying. Dont like these terms, do not comment or troll. I don't know how true this is, if there is any substance to what I am going to convey, or if there is and validity at all, however, from a friend of a friend who works in a pub, who knows a man that works in an abitoir ( you know where i am going with this). An independant small supermarket has been caught skimming from contactless (RFID) bank cards. They have done it by way of a reader that is placed on the doors of the building. People thought the beep they heard was a chime indicating the door opening. The device was charging $(?)1 per beep, so in escence $2 per person from the card. It appears as a shop transaction of the shop they were in. On average there was 200-400 people a day so they were amassing between $400 and $800 a day. Worth taking note of this and if you have a contactless card get a RFID blocking wallet/ purse.

Just seen a young lad on a white bike ride out into a white van and a blue car rear end the van at the junction of Heathway/ Church Elm Lane/Hedgemans Road at 07:42am. I was on the 174 heading to the station. Accident was heading to the A13. I witnessed the occurrence. A ) hope the young boy is OK. He did get up. B ) If anyone knows those involved needs a witness statement PM me.

I had a problem with a work PC late on a Thursday afternoon and dropped it down to Pc 1st aid just before they shut at 6pm.... The very next morning at a little after 10am I recived a call from Marc saying that my computer was fixed and was ready for me to collect and It was a faulty hard drive that had been replaced and all my work data had been saved from the faulty one.....

Brilliant service and they saved me rushing out and buying a new pc as I was that desperate to get my business up and running again.....

Marc kindly spend time on the phone with me this morning and came to my house to sort out my internet problems this evening. Impressed by his friendly, helpful manner and so far, so good I seem to have reliable internet again. He offers an excellent, fair and efficient service at an affordable price.

I am very wary about even sending away my devices to be fixed as so many people these days are untrustworthy! However when my laptop broke this time i had no choice due to uni work that needed to be completed and my next modules starting soon.

Being hard for me to drop my laptop off, Marc came to pick it up for me and deliver it back all for just ┬Ż10 extra, incredibly cheap when considering where i live.

He fixed the computer very quickly, kept me updated on the process and even cleaned it for me! I am terrible for cleaning my screen etc and i got my laptop back today looking brand new.

I honestly would never go elsewhere now. Fantastic service, friendly staff, wonderful price. Would highly recommend!
