We had the privilege to stay overnight with our motorhome at the Rhug Estate property with our Brit Stops membership. What a nice place to be. Great shop, with lots of good food, great gluten free bread and snacks, drinks, nice beers and wine, organic meat, gifts and lovely people.

Debbie, one of the employees, gave us such a warm welcome, made us feel at home. She was really passionate, enthusiastic and joyful. Explained about everything around the shop and gave us a nice route for a stroll. Saw the bisons on our way, such huge animals! Debbie, please stay your lovely self and keep up the great work!

I am a vegetarian, but my boyfriend bought himself a nice piece of organic meat. The butcher was really passionate about what he does, knows everything about his products and took his time to give advice and we had a nice talk. They also sell their organic meat in other places (and countries as well), such as the Borough Market in London.

Will definitely come back when in the neighbourhood, well worth the visit!

Ps. They have a bistro and take away too!

Staff were very friendly and food was very nice and we'll priced.bison burger was a must.

User

I just love going to the Rhug estate. I go as often as I can , even though it’s an hours drive away from my home. Good food, nice staff, fantastic produce , what else could you ask for? Marvellous !!

User

I had the Bison burger and it was delicious! Probably a little over priced but it is an organic farm and all things organic do cost a little more!

User

Always stop here for a few treats on the way too and from holidays. Always something a little special in the shop.

User

Stayed over on way home from a road trip. Stay really friendly. Short wait for food.bacon bap was worth waiting for. Decaf tea was available and tasted just fine. I thought it was all a little expensive but in comparison to other places along the way in Wales it wasn’t too bad... they’re all a little too expensive...but at today’s costs I guess they have to make a living and pay the staff

User

Only ever use the outsdie for snacks and coffee but a great place to stop whether in the car or on the bike. Food always good, fresh and hot and the drinks are hot and good measures.

User

Its cafe is apparently open till 5 but they stop serving any type of food way before 4! The quality of cake/scones etc and service do not warrant the cost either but it is a pleasant stop and the shop sells some lovely and unusual things.

User

IT is a nice place to visit , the shop has lovely food produce and a good selection of ales and gin.

We found the restaurant pretty expensive.. £7.95 for a ham sandwich is a bit over the top !.. And the waitress was rather surly and. A bit off hand..

User

Food is always good but bit too fussy on little things..just keep menu simple and cheaper for just a sandwich..I don't want extra salad, crisps etc just a butty..prices are bit steep mind..so I usually just have pot tea x

User

Very over priced although the shop had some interesting item. Quality meat products too

User

Nice surroundings and farm shop ( although expensive ) but the bison burger was no better than macdonalds hamburger. For nearly £6 I was expecting better.

User

Had nice Sunday lunch but found it expensive and you did not do smaller size meals for light eaters like my 90 year old mother who was with us. Also did not see a small size roast dinner on the children's menu.

User

Very disappointed today. Used to be our favourite (motor bike) stop off but a big difference today. Awful coffee which didn’t improve enough to justify the cost even after I took it back to complain. Wanted the Meal Deal - but we couldn’t have it because NO CHIPS. What? this is a FARM SHOP! Had to make do with the burger - much diminished quality - and the dreadful coffee, at much the same price as the Meal Deal. Shame on you Rhug. Might give you one last chance - but it better have improved.

User

I don't know what's happened , food always used to be good here , today arrived ordered a burger with cheese .

McDonald's serve better quality meet than this !!!. And solid over cooked fries .

Think I'll give it a miss from now on.

User

Food is very good in the restaurant BUT the service is diabolical !! Need to look at there team management. Taken to table and told that the order would be taken in 20mins. Waitress then came and took drinks order only!! We asked her to take the food order but we were told no! Ten minutes later food order was taken but couldn't take additional drinks order at the same time! We were told to order drinks again when the food was served! The restaurant wasn't even full.

Shop stock is not being rotated either, still have Xmas soft toys on sale and valentines food gifts on sale!!

Standards have slipped - needs fresh eyes before it's too late!!

In total we were in restaurant 1hr and 10 mins and all we had was a cooked breakfast !!!

User

Very over priced we used to stop when it was just a trailer and porta loos prices were reasonable then yesterday stopped on our way back from a day out on the bike we had a coffee each and burger no onions or salad just a plan bun and a burger it cost us over £16.00 I don’t think we will be stopping there again The staff aren’t that welcoming either

User

The shop was really good, but we had a cheeseburger and a tea, the tea was nice but the cheeseburger was awful, the meat was tough hard round the edges loads of lettuce and the onions were not cooked. It was one of the worst burgers I have had, it will be a while before we stop there again. The food used to be nice!
